Thanks RBR. Made it through the day, NSD plus cleared the most urgent things waiting for me. Absolutely shattered, glad it's the weekend and relieved today went ok. Dropped OH to airport as he's headed to his parents' this weekend. He asked what I wanted brought back as a present. I suggested that he should put the equivalent value to the savings. Good on two counts, keeps the clutter down while building the pot. Also, managed to pass on the donated toiletries to go to Shelter. Some more stuff decluttered. Have grand plans to get so much done over the weekend. Will post a list tomorrow in the hope it will motivate me. Thanks for all the support. It made today easier.Mortgage at 01.01.14 £119,481.83:eek: today £0 Emergency fund £5.5/5.5k & £200/200 cash.:jWeight 24/02/19 14st 7lb now 12st determined to stop defining myself by my mistakes. So, in an effort to get motivated today, here goes.
Get out of bed and dressed to shoes
Let dog out back for a run/play
Clear bits and pieces in kitchen finding homes rather than temporary lodgings
Clear out and clean out fridge. Due to OH not having been too well and now away for weekend, too much food will have been unused. Not good.
Breakfast
Evict dd from bed at 11
Visit 1 shop in hope of acquiring wedding gift
Grocery shopping to take advantage of second last mr s voucher
Drop dd off at pub to watch rugby
Home with groceries put away and a cuppa for the game.
Will probably check in here at half time to update and nosey on the other diariesMortgage at 01.01.14 £119,481.83:eek: today £0 Emergency fund £5.5/5.5k & £200/200 cash.:jWeight 24/02/19 14st 7lb now 12st determined to stop defining myself by my mistakes. Yay - cleared the incredibly boring list. Used my mr s voucher for £12 off so will make a £6 plus Tt transfer tomorrow before updating the 2014 goals thread. Great result for Ireland at rugby. Just 6 days after their last game, they played their hearts out. Isn't it odd how even now that my daughter is in her 20s, it still costs more when she does the grocery shopping with me!Mortgage at 01.01.14 £119,481.83:eek: today £0 Emergency fund £5.5/5.5k & £200/200 cash.:jWeight 24/02/19 14st 7lb now 12st determined to stop defining myself by my mistakes. Morning!
Well done on a particularly busy weekend! It's lovely to start the week off fresh without having to finish off the week before isn't it?

maybe you should stalk rather than just watching RBR. On the plus side, no spends on snacks. I've been bringing fruit in with me. However, while I made lunch Friday, yesterday and today were purchases catching up with colleagues I hadn't been in touch with. I had money left over from last week's spends so that covered these. Tomorrow could go anyway at all as it has just started snowing here and i've a 6o'clock start to get to Dublin for an 8:30 meeting. there could be a stop off on the way back!
saved £9 expected spend on Monday so piggy banked £4 and put £5 towards paying a bill that will hit next month. March will be a particularly spendy month for us with a family wedding plus other things needing to be paid.
work's extremely busy but still kinda enjoyable. i cleared my desk into a cupboard and am now dealing with only one item at a time. I can see progress YAY!
hope all's good with all you MSE'ers out there

Well, I finally did it and signed up to the work pension plan. I've committed 5% of gross salary which the company will match. I'll have around 20 years to build up the pot. I previously accrued 14 years with another employer so clearing the mortgage early will allow for additional investments. Just hope that I'm not trying to tackle too many things at the same time. Cooked for friends yesterday with all ingredients coming from the fridge, freezer or veggies that we had. Did however splurge on nice breads but they were finished off in lunches, etc today. Also, I set aside a £40 underspend from earlier this month to go towards a one off bill next month. Anyhow, another six o'clock start to go to dublin again tomorrow. Off to browse some diaries and then have an early night. Well done for taking the plunge and getting back into a pension scheme, and keeping all the other plates spinning in the air.
I think the key is, not giving up if a few plates crash, or even if the whole kit and caboodle collapses! Bin the broken bits and get back on with the show x."I wondered why the Frisbee was getting bigger, and then it hit me". £9/£250

I love the "bin the broken bits advice". Thanks so much for dropping by especially when you've so much else going on.
Did the sainsbugs shop using the last of the £12 off vouchers so £6 towards the mortgage. Miserable weather but fingers crossed, no flooding. The news reports are dreadful. It makes you appreciate what you have. Anyhow, no real plans for weekend but I've identified two clutter hotspots to tackle. Hopefully I'll clear some space and maybe even find something ebay able for next free listing.Mortgage at 01.01.14 £119,481.83:eek: today £0 Emergency fund £5.5/5.5k & £200/200 cash.:jWeight 24/02/19 14st 7lb now 12st determined to stop defining myself by my mistakes. Hi INOD, you are right. My area has not had the winds or rain that others have had, and that is something to be very grateful for, my heart goes out to anyone in flood conditions at this time of year.
