  • Thanks for dropping in. We head tomorrow at 5.30. Fly to heathrow, hang about for for five hours then a 14 hour flight with one 50 min stop. At the risk of over sharing, I hope we get off the plain as I don't like using those toilets. Will prob be the scruffiest traveller as I'm putting comfort ahead of all else. Today I paid 20.12 off the mortgage courtesy of Tt, a £5 voucher in m&s and a £6 lottery win. While I haven't updated my sig, I know now that there has been just over £10k reduction since the start of the year. Yay. Next goal is 10%. I just need to remember that while in Tokyo. Anyhow, gotta try for the available 2 hours sleep before the alarm. Fingers crossed I will sleep through the flight. Hope things go well for everyone.

  • On a 14 hour flight I wouldn't be worrying about sartorial elegance either! Have a good journey.

  • INOD, your mortgage payment method of paying off small amounts as well as larger has inspired me and I'm now collecting savings I've made on my weekly cash budget in a Milner jar. Eight pounds this week to transfer over once I get paid. Thank you!!

Hi INOD, are you still on holiday? Thought I'd pop by to say :hello:. Hopefully you are well rested and not too over-spent!

I do a similar journey once a year or so (not allowed off the plane) and it's a heck of a haul. Worth it once you get there though! Hope you managed ok without using the toilets ;)

  • I'm back. Got home late Sunday evening, ended up in work Monday and have been fighting fires since. Haven't even checked bank accounts as my head is permanently pickled due to lack of sleep. I'm weakening at approx 3 every morning. Need to get !!! into gear but have been reading diaries in the meantime. Hope everyone's doing well.
