Ok confession time. Yesterday's foray to m&s left me £122 poorer and it was only on food. £12 approx was on bits and pieces for my mum. These were delivered today. I also got 2 bottles of wine from the dine in meals. These go to one side either for next big BBQ or to be gifted. Some items have already made it to freezer. Others have been eaten and were scrummy. To balance, today was an NSD. I still need a sit down with a calculator to see how things stand. Just haven't gotten around to it.
Today I attempted to replicate the potato and goats cheese loaf from my cookery class. It tasted ok but I need a differently shaped loaf tin. It did use up some fridge stuff so that was good. Dropped a book down to my sis so one down, 9999 to go. I also managed to plant out some mixed salad seeds so fingers crossed for these.
Today I am grateful for gaps in the rain that allowed me to start tidying the garden

Ah, that old chestnut, food. We'd all be better off if we didn't have to buy it wouldn't we!? But at least you've got some bits for gifts/bbq etc already so don't have to worry about finding that at a later date.

Thanks RBR, I know exactly what you mean. Does this mean that MSE is becoming embedded in my DNA? Probably in a similar fashion to msg, I love Chinese takeaways!Mortgage at 01.01.14 £119,481.83:eek: today £0 Emergency fund £5.5/5.5k & £200/200 cash.:jWeight 24/02/19 14st 7lb now 12st determined to stop defining myself by my mistakes. 3.5 months of exposure to a continual diet of undiluted MSE is bound to have affected our DNA. I am off to tilly tidy, I get quite frustrated if there are no pennies to move :rotfl:"I wondered why the Frisbee was getting bigger, and then it hit me". £9/£250

It's definitely in our DNA now and that of our families I'm sure. I just went shopping with Littley and was informed that buying 2 packs of cheese as they were on offer would be "false comonomy" as we won't use it all and it will just go in the bin. Beamed my way round the shop I was so proud!!CC1: 10273.70/6892.56. CC2: 1000/832
