It is lovely having you around, you are very perceptive and I, for one, value your viewpoint. Thanks.
There are some real plusses on that list. Achieving the Director position sounds like a career high point. The MD might be a bit insecure, some are still not that comfortable around high flying females.
As for the weight loss, I am convinced that for women of a certain age ..... over 35, that the Mt Everest of goals is attaining and remaining at our ideal weight. I have never ventured beyond the foothills, but in April I begin the ascent in earnest. Care to join me?"I wondered why the Frisbee was getting bigger, and then it hit me". £9/£250

Thanks peeps. RBR, would love to join your challenge but, be warned, you will probably need an alternative stable mate as I'm not too good in that regard. I have about 4 stone to lose but would settle for 2 as that would significantly increase clothes shopping opportunities! These would off course be funded by ebaying the then too big clothes. Kinda had LBM re my weight. Was reading a book that featured somewhere I'd been and one of the high spots described, I hadn't considered as I was too self conscious about my size. It's a bit like being skint. I can't go on half living when it's within my control (in theory anyway) to change. This has to be the year I take it seriously. Also OH and I have vaguely talked about getting married at some point. It's ridiculous enough being a middle aged bride but middle aged and old is just too absurd for words.Mortgage at 01.01.14 £119,481.83:eek: today £0 Emergency fund £5.5/5.5k & £200/200 cash.:jWeight 24/02/19 14st 7lb now 12st determined to stop defining myself by my mistakes. Btw, sassy. The malt is safe. I can't even abide the smell of whiskey and, given that it's scotch, if I tried it over an Irish, I'd be it by a thunderbolt!Mortgage at 01.01.14 £119,481.83:eek: today £0 Emergency fund £5.5/5.5k & £200/200 cash.:jWeight 24/02/19 14st 7lb now 12st determined to stop defining myself by my mistakes. A wedding on the horizon too, it is all happening in your neck of the woods!
Two stone it is then, it will be the blind leading the blind, each with 30 years of trying everything and failing miserably behind them. We are guaranteed success !!!"I wondered why the Frisbee was getting bigger, and then it hit me". £9/£250

Morning all
If I had read your post yesterday I would have said thanks but no thanks as I'm happy with how I am.
However! Littley piped up today to suggest I buy some new foundation to cover the blemishes on my face "here, here, here.....". She also patted my tummy and said "think you need to work on that!" Bearing in mind my friend's little boy asked me yesterday why I had coloured my hair right at the top I'm seriously needing an overhaul!
So yes, I will join your challenge to lose a bit of weight, although I have no idea how much I weigh. Never have, if my clothes get too tight I've put on weight. Also, I need to budget in a trip to the hairdressers & buy some foundation. Kids hey!?CC1: 10273.70/6892.56. CC2: 1000/832

Sassy, you'll be looking a million dollars, with just a minor investment, by the time we are finished with you.
It sounds like you just need a bit tweaking around the edges, rather than a complete renovation, count yourself very lucky x."I wondered why the Frisbee was getting bigger, and then it hit me". £9/£250

:rotfl:I laughed out loud at this. Little Miss Gap said to me recently "Mum you really must be feeling better (I have a chronic illness) the spots on your face have gone." They were blemishes, not spots. I didn't think they were that noticeable. She also waggled my calf muscle (I was lounging on the recliner) and said "Mum, your leg is so wobbly. Look at mine, pure muscle (it is). You really need to get back on that exercise bike." I weigh 7st 9lbs and am 5'6" so not exactly in need of weightloss, just exercise apparently

Lol out of the mouths of babes hey? I'm only a size 11 so I don't think I need to lose much just tone what's there up. The blemishes however are spots but that's cuz I'm run down atm.
Come summer we'll all be beautiful beach babes!CC1: 10273.70/6892.56. CC2: 1000/832
