  • hopefully, it's apparent now. turns out, i'd just assumed my sig was OK. when i re entered it, i got an error message as i was using too many lines. so, what can i say. in spite of all the stop / starting, I achieved what I sent out to do, kinda. i didn't make all the payments I'd originally intended to the mortgage BUT, it cahrges me 0.41% in interest and my ISA pays me 2.2% so combined, i've exceeded my two year target. it's all thanks to you good peeps here. if i hadn't stumbled across these diaries, i wouldn't have started this lark three years ago and without a target, would not have cleared / set aside so much. and, guess what, i'm not feeling bereft of handbags nor have others suffered deprivation at Christmas or birthdays.

I'm never going to manage to be hard core old style type person. i still meet friends for breakfast, have the odd coffee out and spend on silly things but i now recognise that's what i'm doing and what a treat / indulgence looks like. I'm a total voucher hound and average a saving of roughly £7 per week. It may not seem like much but it's £500 pre tax annually. i also continue to cashback and stock up on whoopsieds.

Yay :j. Well done you, I think you have found some quite impressive direction after all :money:

So yes, what's the next target. Lower interest charged means more overpayments possible, maybe?
