Well done on the weight loss - great thread going there. Might join you in the couch to 5k...nudge me in September! Getting curves where I shouldn't have them now :rotfl:

Great bargain hunting on the desk and like your thinking if you have to go SE :D

Bummer about the weather there though :(

  • As dd was otherwise occupied yesterday, we went out for a steak dinner courtesy of a voucher purchased ages ago. It was good though the price of soft drinks is ridiculous. Fingers crossed that tonight my builder comes and repairs the hole in a bedroom ceiling caused by my dd putting her foot through a few months ago.
Today I have a dublin meeting at two which means I lose half the day getting there and back. Still, it has to be done. Anyhow, I should get a wiggle on. Hope everyone's week gets off to a good start.

  • Been a bit of an up and down week. Had three dublin trips which are time consuming also got stuff out the door which was good. Have continued to avoid contact with my family bar OH and my kids as things aren't great with me. In prep for my surgery next month, I've had to come off my pill. Imagine raging hormones coupled with the feeling of my insides being twisted and squeezed. Overseas sis called today and I burst into tears at some point when there was nothing upsetting. Oddly enough another sis randomly called this afternoon. Think sis no 1 may have sent out a panic call. Am also experiencing anxiety and am just tying myself in knots. I know the money position isn't great but I can't bring myself to log on and see how things are. I have a cheque for £100 but am putting off lodging it til I cash in change that I haven't yet counted or bagged but I'm not doing anything else. See, it just doesn't make sense and I put on 1 lb. I'm also a bit worried that the dog goes away for three months in three weeks. She doesn't ask for explanations when I'm upset and I'm so gonna miss that. Also, dd will be going to but is being a moody, self indulgent mare. I'm trying not to bark as I don't want us to leave on bad terms but she can make that difficult

Anyhow, enough moaning. Tomorrow starts another work week and hopefully things will be better.

Sounds really horrible INOD with so much going on and extra hormones to boot. Keep going - it will get easier. Sending patience (as if I have enough to spare! :D) and calm. xxx

You've had a full-on week and lots of additional stresses lately so don't be too hard on yourself. I think you are doing great under the circumstances

  • Hump day and I have to go in on my non working day. This is after a 13 hour day yesterday. Why do all my clients insist on having their crises at once? Today I'm meeting a friend to return some stuff of hers that I had and I also have a bag going to the charity shop which is also good. Will get to the bank and lodge a cheque and will then sit down and work out money stuff. It's in the category of a necessary evil.

Should have had the dentist today but that has had to be deferred to next week as my new crown isn't ready. Still, it means I will be paid by the time the fee clears and the expenses I claimed last month will cover it plus I get £60 back from a work scheme.
Does anyone else feel that they are wishing their lives away always wanting to be a few month's forward?

Yep, sometimes I wish away months and when DD is being really hard work sometimes I wish away a year or two!

Now we're earning less and have less chance to overpay I'm doing it less!

    Chin up Inod.
Sorry if that sounds headgirly I meant it as supportive.
You've had a gruelling month or so, have not only coped but got through it with aplomb and guts. Time to take stock and appreciate yourself. I had another look at your signature; perhaps you should too. It's pretty impressive. I just wish your work was a little more supportive.
