Thanks everyone. Well dentist went well. Total cost for three visits and two vanity replacing fillings was £116 which is well within the £150 I can claim back each year.
DS has to have surgery on both wrists and this has been scheduled for next Thursday. There are three possible types of surgery per wrist and they won't know the most appropriate until they are in there. DD has already sorted time off from work and intends to fly back next Wednesday and stay until the Sunday. I feel sick at the thought of what he will have to go through. I may go over next weekend but am worried that leaving him will be a nightmare and I do know deep down he engages better with his sister.
On the plus side, went to m&s and got lots of whoopsied food. When I got home, postie had dropped off sainsbugs vouchers for £12 off a £60 shop per week for four weeks. At least using those will get the ops under way again.

Thanks fortune. Today I took something from your signature and bought both my dentist and her lovely receptionist some flowers as they are both so good. Today has been spent lining up tcb and inbox£ related bets on the grand national. I've also claimed £48 from tcb some of which is from my Cheltenham bets. That ends my gambling career until next year. DD arrives home this evening but we have tickets to a comedy show that were a Christmas gift so won't be able to pick her up. Her next flights to London and back are booked. Only £73 pounds as opposed to the £200 last time.
Apart from that, laundry in machine and usual weekend bits and pieces underway. We had planned to go for dinner but will instead eat in and just go straight to the show as that will cover more than half the flight costs. I also cleared out my handbag today and have organised expense claim items and vouchers. Hope everyone's weekend is going well.Mortgage at 01.01.14 £119,481.83:eek: today £0 Emergency fund £5.5/5.5k & £200/200 cash.:jWeight 24/02/19 14st 7lb now 12st determined to stop defining myself by my mistakes. Well, paddy kielty sparkled last night. Unfortunately OH didn't as he has come down with a cold / man flu. Logic would have suggested that he hibernated which he did, in the main. He does insist on still trying to retain control of the kitchen. Anyhow, he has now been packed off to bed with a hot drink leaving me to poldark. So so day. Couldn't get access to the bedroom etc as I didn't want to disturb sleep but all laundry is cleared up and line dried. Kitchen has been cleared and more VHS videos have been kondoed. I realised today that I need to shift my mindset. I still like to get things dealt with in their entirety. I need to accept the need to plod (thanks beanie) and to take baby steps and realised that the elephant can get eaten one bite at a time. Today I am grateful for
