Oh my goodness!!!! Both wrists?!!?! How on earth!! Bless him, and you because that would frighten the life out of me and I would have picked up and run regardless of all practicalities. Excellent you have the emergency fund. I hope he won't need it and work will be ok. I also hope the knee doesn't turn out the be the real damage of the bunch as they take a LOT longer to repair than broken bones...
Hooray on Mortgage OP's and transferring the potWell done you.
And as for job app you will always have doubts, but if you get an interview what harm can it do to go and see the lay of the land.Keep that chin up and thank you for your support. xx
P.S kondo-ing is totally addictive. Have rolled the towels, but not the tea towels as they don't actually have a home! Have also got rid of 3 bin bags of junk that has accrued despite constant clearing out of kids stuff! xx

Isn't it great how worry prompts activity? I started tackling the garden and did two batches of shredding. Brown bin gets emptied tomorrow so it will all go. Am completely shattered but for some reason there's a helicopter out tonight. So sorry to hear of the sports injuries INOD and hoping DS makes a speedy recovery.
Everything comes at once doesn't it? I guess you may be receiving an apology at work?
Hope today goes smoothly.

It truly never rains but it pours. The dog hurt heir paw today and is looking so pathetic with it strapped up that I'm tempted to pledge £3 a month to her. Got one wash done and dried outside and there's another in the machine. Gathered up various bits and pieces belonging to dd and they are in a laundry basket to go to her room. Spoke to DS today. Think he has resigned himself to surgery on his wrists. Will know for sure on Friday and his sister will be with him. He does seem more bothered about the dog than himself. Tomorrow I will get things into gear. Need to get a prescription, get it filled and go to the bank that is only two doors from the pharmacy. Then get dd to the airport. OH goes back to work on Thursday and from checking my emails, I noticed a client has pushed a panic button so I will probably go in Thursday morning. While I know I'm entitled to the leave, it's probably better that I go in and focus on stuff than sit here brooding which I probably will do as it gets closer to Friday.Mortgage at 01.01.14 £119,481.83:eek: today £0 Emergency fund £5.5/5.5k & £200/200 cash.:jWeight 24/02/19 14st 7lb now 12st determined to stop defining myself by my mistakes. Today I got dd to the airport though I wonder why I bothered. Got a text letting me know that they have dined and drank at my expense and "thanks madre" and brother is fine. Still, laundry is fully cleared, got to the bank, cheques and coins lodged at £51 transferred to the mortgage, collected script from gp and got it filled. Sent a funky fruit bowl to DS as his sister had room in her bag and also sent some Easter goodies. Have samosaed carrier bags and reduced the storage from one drawer to two. There are others still to be dealt with. Dog is healing well but is so frustrated at not getting her usual amount of exercise.
Have another three items of clothing to go to the charity shop and I'm going into the office tomorrow then meeting a friend for lunch. Also have an item to pick up from mons00n. I bought this in the sale and paid with a gift voucher but ordered on line to get tcb credit.
Anyhow, gonna go and clear away some bits and pieces. I just get so frustrated with the amount of stuff in this house despite my efforts. It's kinda like debt clearing where you go at it great guns initially but the enthusiasm dies down quickly.
To end on a positive, I reminded OH that he had some money to transfer from recent ebay sales. So there will be another £45 to go towards the mortgage which will get it to well within £100 of the £102k. I just need to not get too keen and move money from savings to get it below £100k. Especially as I have rates bill to pay next month. Hope everyone enjoyed the sunshine.Mortgage at 01.01.14 £119,481.83:eek: today £0 Emergency fund £5.5/5.5k & £200/200 cash.:jWeight 24/02/19 14st 7lb now 12st determined to stop defining myself by my mistakes. Ever just wanna run away from life? Was heading to bed when a text came from a good friend telling me that her uncle had died. It just seems to be one thing after another. Spoke to the offspring yesterday. DD had been to collect DS bike from the sports centre where it had languished since his accident. Today DS gets scanned at nine then has appt with the consultant at half ten. They have a set of questions written out to make sure all issues are covered. Fingers crossed that he won't need surgery or, if he does, it will just be on one wrist. If there's any positivity out there, can you please send it his way?
Today I have a dental appt at half nine and that should be me for another year. I will go see my mum this afternoon as she will be concerned about the prodigal. Hopefully I will manage a fairly easy ride. Yesterday I offloaded a VHS children's video on a colleague who has a machine and some young children. Because it's an old movie, it will be totally fresh to the frozen generation so he was happy to take it. Will see what others are kicking about.
Anyhow, gotta get a move on and concentrate on not being sick. Today I am grateful for
