Happy Birthday for yesterday INOD, sorry I didn't log on yesterday to celebrate with you, but I'm sure your birthday celebrations are continuing all weekend. What would you get if all you got was what you were thankful for?0

Yesterday didn't quite pan out as intended but it was a fairly good day. No meal out as dd couldn't get home in time so a takeaway from the same place that was really good. Brought DS (home from London) to see granny which she loves especially when he's not expected. Got some lovely gifts which I would, in the main, have chosen myself. This year, the sister who just wrote a cheque for her new Volvo, didn't get me a tea towel. Instead I got a mint green sequinned scarf from asda. I have to say I'm neither a pastel colour nor a sequin person. Sometimes I wish people just wouldn't bother rather than buying what was clearly the first thing to come to hand.
I had an enforced by others ban on housework and shopping yesterday. Unfortunately, none of them were inclined to do anything so am going to head to the home bakery now and treat them to the beef sausage rolls that they make and pick up some other bits and pieces.
Today I am grateful for
Good wishes from here, by text, by phone and in person

Oh, on MSE news, got paid, got just over £200 of expenses through so that's heading in the direction of the mortgage and should offset the impact of the interest charge at the end of March.Mortgage at 01.01.14 £119,481.83:eek: today £0 Emergency fund £5.5/5.5k & £200/200 cash.:jWeight 24/02/19 14st 7lb now 12st determined to stop defining myself by my mistakes.
