I plan to sign up next year, and as part of that was working out yesterday what I know I actually need.

I ended up with a list that said 2 pairs of leggings, 2 sweatshirts or similar, and possibly a pair of slippers - the leggings and tops being 'sooner rather than later' items.

Whilst checking prices I fell upon a 25% off sale on the Mr T website, so the 4 items I found that I liked (2 pairs leggings, one sweatshirt, one jumper) were down from £44 to £33. I then swapped £15 of clubc@rd vouchers for £30 of clothing vouchers, so I ended up paying just £3 for the 4 things :T

So at the moment my shopping list for 2015 is one pair of slippers - and even they're a later rather than sooner item and may be avoided until 2016.

The other item(s) I'll probably need are new bras. I've lost, regained, re-lost and re-regained weight over the past few years, and need to lose it again (have back problems that get worse when the weight's on), and every time I end up in different sized bras. Although these are essentials I still need to try and work out some kind of budget to cover them.......

    Just reporting in for November

I spent £78 on two dresses for my cruise at Christmas.

This brings the total spend to £188.40/£300, so still comfortably within target

Well good news and not so good news - I am now having to attend a ball this week - the ticket is free so that's nice and I went last year so I know what to expect.
I did try on a couple of ball gowns/long dresses yesterday in TKMxxxxx but I realised even though they were massively reduced from hundreds to £17 and £19 that I would only b buying because of the reduction and I wouldn't get the financial benefit out of wearing them so I put them back.

On the other hand I parted with £12 on a reduced tunic dress from Dotty P's

I would like to join if there is to be a challenge next year? I spend far too much money, on things I want rather than need. It really needs to stop.

I will start with a wardrobe clear out to see if I actually need anything. I will sell everything I don't need on ebay and the money I earn will be my budget for next years challenge. I will start with £0.

I hope it is OK to join in?

  • I've been lurking lol. I've been looking at decluttering my clothes. Its just ridiculous how many I have, especially the stuff that I don't wear!

I'd really like to get some stuff sold on ebay, but I'm not sure how successful that will be. Any advice?

    Thanks :)

Definitely doing to join next year. I work in a clothing shop:eek: and buy things just for the sake of it. I need to stop this and start behaving myself:o Keeping track on here will be a HUGE help. I will look out for the link in December :)

How about every time you think of buying something at work, calculate how many hours you would have to work to pay for it?
