Well done to our October no spenders Gem gem and Ali OK

We have 2 months left of the challenge this year. Let's hang on in there and see if we can stick to our budgets - it's going to be tight for me but I'm going to stick at my budget for this year as I still have my debt repaying strategy going on which is my priority.

    Good luck every one!

Welcome to Pink Giraffe - good luck with your challenge for the next 2 months and please pop back on and let us all know how you're getting on.

Oh bilmey I haven't kept up on the thread and I think I have spent up, need to add up properly! I have really picked up my running and am keeping going through the colder months (normally given up about 3/4months ago) so I brought some reduced running & high-vis items I required. Will have to spend nothing else unless absolutely necessary until the end of the year!

  • Hi all

I hope it's not too late to join.
Overall this year I have barely spent any money on clothes. In fact I've only made purchases in August and September.
I'm doing my own variation of Project 333, except I have a few more than 33 items and if it can be worn throughout the year then I will wear it!

On the other hand I would like some new ankle boots to wear for work as my current options are ballet pumps or otk boots! So will attempt to save up for those.

Random question - are required items like undies and socks included?!

I don't include undies and socks, though I haven't needed many of those either. Aldi had some lovely bras for a fiver a few weeks ago. I promised myself that I would buy them if they had my size if any were reduced to half price - I have one of those bras already and it's gorgeous, but I didn't really absolutely need another. However it did mean I could discard some that were on their last legs if I bought any.
Both white unwired and black wired were in my size at £2.49 so I duly bought them. No guilt at the spend and two ancient Tesco 'Value' bras (c. 11 years old) joyfully slung.

Yesterday I spent £16.49 on two blouses and a jumper. One of the blouses was new, the other items from charity shops. Found a charity shop which was quite expensive in the scheme of things, but only sells high end stuff, so may go there again as the quality is so good. I also bought some much needed knickers and other undies.

Already overspent this year so will pick a more realistic budget next year. Oh, and desperate for jeans again, may have to spend a bit to get some good ones.

  • No spend here for October :D

Have to report a purchase for November - a gorgeous purple jumper that I love - £27 (and worth every penny, I've worn it several times already, I love it so much!). I've updated my signature.

I very nearly ordered some expensive jeans on line yesterday, but delivery was at least 28 days so I didn't. I don't think companies should be able to list things for sale that they don't actually have in stock. I only found that detail out after giving them my details. A legit company so I'm not worried about my details being scammed but still a tad annoyed.

  • Hi
Well I went shopping with other half at the end of October and I bought a skirt from H&M £15. I've worn it already on a night out.
    That's me spent up.

Not bothered as while I was out shopping it made me realise what tat most of the stuff in the clothes shops were and I can honestly say I wasn't tempted (except the skirt which is lovely).

I do need a couple of new bras soon-I'm spilling over a bit!icon11.gif but they're not counted so I think I will make it now.

My spending focus is on pressies for the kids in November and in December Santa usually brings me a bit of money to start off next year with. So I reckon I'll manage. ;)

Hi everyone, sorry it's been long time no post. Finally found the much-needed brown tee in October and got a matching cardi because they were so reasonable. Another 2 cardigans bought in November - oh dear I can see a cardi habit forming -£30 spent.
Using up fabric stock to make dresses at the moment but have bought 3 patterns
so declaring £39 spent as strictly speaking it was on clothing.
    Hope everyone is doing well.
I'm the only one who is stopping me from achieving my goals! :wall:
