I had a No Spend September too, and weight loss has meant that I'm wearing clothes I haven't worn in a while which is always fun, it's like having a new wardrobe.
Last year I lost weight in the run up to Christmas but it piled on afterwards. This year I will halve what I buy of fattening foods as that's what did for me and having lovely clothes that don't fit is a killer.Erma Bombeck, American writer: "If I had my life to live over again... I would have burned the pink candle, sculptured like a rose, that melted in storage." Don't keep things 'for best' - that day never comes. Use them and enjoy them now.0 -
Could I join the party too at this late month of the year?
Just coming to the end of my pregnancy, so know I won't need any more maternity clothes now, and have enough to keep me going whilst I'm loosing the baby weight hopefully... but coupled with that, have decided to try and change my dress sense and smarten up a bit now Im turning 30, but Im going to try and stick mainly to the charity shops to restock my wardrobe.
So could I put £60 to the end of the year. Then next year I can have a good think about a realistic yearly budget.
Thank you!LBM January 2017 £34k will have paid back finally by my DFD May 2021got my first store card on my 18th birthday, never known a life without the grey cloud of debt looming over me. 18yrs and the end is finally in sight 🤩0 -

I will be getting a new hip before Christmas. I had to buy an all day bus ticket today so went back to the charity shop and bought 3 more nighties for £3.97 bringing my total for the year to £32.42. Two of them are t-shirt types (one is floor length with long sleeves) so could be worn after the op on days when I don't feel like getting dressed (it's going to be a bit of a performance) but will be warm and respectable (clothes wise anyway). My mission in life is not only to survive, but to thrive and to do so with some Passion, some Compassion, some Humour and some Style.NST SEP No 1 No Debt No mortgage0

Hello all. I had to buy a new jacket suitable for this autumn weather - well I couldn't wear DH's footie rainmac forever! Will update signature. Well over budget this year, which makes me think I need to be more realistic next year.Spend less now, work less later.0

Last week I took a jumper down to my Mum's for her to have. Today I acquired a pair of new sock from one of her drawers ( with permission). It's great to be able to swap clothes ( I wouldn't wear all her clothes - but the odd thing is suitable and I have borrowed from time to time).2025 Fashion on a ration 0/66 coupons

£5 on a heavily reduced summer holiday shirt to put away until next years holidays. I looked at a similar one this summer and it was either £14 or £19.99 so I decided for a fiver to buy it and put it away in the summer holiday drawer!final unsecured debt to repay currently £8333Proud to be Dealing With my DebtDFW Nerd 1154 Long Haul 1550
