White Stuff is opening up in Bluewater next Friday - gutted that I won't be able to make it - but it is for a good purpose - Dad is coming to stay for the weekend - looking forward to see him. Haven't seen him for AGES.

Went to Bluewater yesterday. Hubby bought me some trainers for Christmas. Saw the WS was already open. Couldn't go there as hubby was with me and would get fed up!!!! Finished my Christmas shopping so no need to go near a shopping centre till after Christmas.

  • Is this challenge for yourself or per household?

I'd love to join next year, but have a husband... and a baby! :)

    Gem-Gem, you're showing great restraint!
Pepperoni - the challenge can be what ever you want it to be, but don't think it will be easy. I broke my budget months ago and keep changing my personal rules to suit myself.

No spends to declare this week though and DD has given me some scarves which should brighten up a few of my outfits.

Yes Jayzee, I am trying very hard in fact I have just moved across the money that I have saved for clothes and not spent to my ISA. It feels good. Start saving again - Dec payday.

An impulse purchase this month on a onesie  at £8 in Pr!marni. It's ridiculous really, I'm nearly 47 but I've worn it nightly since buying it and love it. Just have to hope no-one pops round to visit unexpectedly, now that would be embarrassing :rotfl:

So I'm up to £53.03 of my £120 budget. Pretty chuffed with that and won't be anywhere near clothes shops now my Christmas shopping is done, the chaos of traffic and queues can go ahead without me :D. I'm not one for the sales usually either, so think I'll be safe from clothes spends in December. :)
    Back on the DFW Wagon:

    CC - £3,300 on 0% til 04/2020
    CC - £4,500 on 0% til 02/2019
    Loan - £12,063.84 as at 4/1/18

After a few months off the site I finally got my finances a bit better in order this week so I've come on to post about my mortgage overpayment and also a few other bits.

    September - NSM
October - Swimming Costume £45 (sports one, I do aqua and need something decent that fits well otherwise I'll expose myself!)
Socks £12 - lovely Seasalt ones.
November - Leggings x 2 and Long sleeved top x 2 Boden - £57 my Boden leggings from 2013 which I've lived in and showing their age and are really thin so I got 2 new pairs & having loved their short sleeved tops I've got a couple of long sleeved ones too as some of my old ones are getting tired.

    So in summary this year:

    January - NSM
    February - NSM
    March - £133 on bras
    April - £29.95 on a dress
    May - £15.20 on tights in M&S
June £76 in Boden - 1 Jersey summer dress, 4 tshirt tops £124 in Pepperberry - 2 new dresses
July - £49 in Hobbs for a Bolero
    August - NSM
    September - NSM
    October - Swimming Costume £45 Socks £12
    November - £57 leggings x 2 long sleeved top x 2

    £541.15

    I'm pretty happy with that.

After I posted last time I had a big clearout and made about £140 on ebay selling clothes, took 26 items to the charity shop and took 4 bags of not so good stuff to the charity banks. Having sold stuff earlier in the year too neat balance of clothes is definitely out and time for another review I think too.

Wow Yorkielass, what a great review for the year. I am also interested to see how much I have spent since joining the challenge. I have also started to think about my targets for next years challenge.

I've been following this thread with interest although am not actually taking part. I spend far too much on clothes fit myself. I've just added up what I've spent this year alone and I'm at £836! That's obscene really hoping this challenge will run again next year as I'm definately signing up.

I will run the Challenge again next year as there are people already asking and thinking about it!

I'm at a NSD month on clothes for November. I do need a new shirt for an event so I'll check out the charity shops I think first. I've found one for £12.50 which isn't too bad a price. Not bought one yet though.

I think next year my aim is to put either £10 or £20 a month away to build up a little clothes budget for the year. Then when I decide I need something, opposed to want, I'll have some funds to spend. I'll see how much I can afford to put away for the budget in between now and the new thread starting.

I'll update the thread of no spenders and anyone who wants to join in for the final month of this years challenge next week to give everyone a chance to update.
