The Completely Crazy 2014 Clothes Challenge

Hello everyone. I have just read the last couple of pages of this board and am signing up now in time for 2015. I did the challenge about 3 years ago and managed to reign myself in, then it all went a bit haywire. I am sorting out my wardrobe in preparation for a swish over the festive period. It has really made me think about my over consumption and just how much money I waste. 2015 has got to be different.
Keep up the good work everyoneNothing is so fatiguing as the eternal hanging on of an uncompleted task
Crazy Clothing Challenge 2015 £48.58/£200 :eek:0 -
I was signed up to this thread under a previous username, anyway I didnt make the target I had set for myself which was zero, but I spent around £55 on clothes in 2014. £12.50 new including underwear, the rest second hand.
I did actually need new (or second hand) clothes by the middle of the year as Ive lost a lot of weight and my clothes were literally beginning to fall off (not such a good look).
I also donated lots back to charity and Im going to sell some of my zumbawear including new stuff thats still in its packaging as I no longer teach, still got more to donate, don't know how much I'll spend on clothes in 2015 but going to try and keep buying second hand when I can.0 -

I got through to November without buying any clothes. I then had to buy a couple of Christmas jumpers for work because we're expected to wear them on the 3 Fridays before Christmas. So I'm really pleased that I came in under target. I set myself a maximum of £100 and only spent £33!
Thanks fedupandskint for running the challenge. I plan to keep within the same limit next year too. Merry Christmas everyone xSPC #229= £103.76(2014)

I would really love to join in with this next year. I buy almost all of my clothes from Charity Shops so each item is cheap but because I buy so many of them it's all adding up (it's become a bit of a habit/hobby even - lol.) In addition - my bedroom currently looks like the result of an explosion in a charity shop and it's getting me down. Like others I will have a think about a realistic budget.Shifting my energy for 2020
