I've snuck another clothes spend into August - shame on me! But think I got quite a good deal with £15 for a pair of M&S jeans (decent thickness too). Not bought any for years and my shape has changed with the menopause/middle age, so my old ones haven't fitted me for the past year or so.

So spend for August declared at DS's shirt £6 and jeans for me £15 = £21 total.

I've updated my sig and stand at £45.03 spent out of £120 budget. Am pleased with that and am ready for Autumn/Winter now. :)
    Back on the DFW Wagon:

    CC - £3,300 on 0% til 04/2020
    CC - £4,500 on 0% til 02/2019
    Loan - £12,063.84 as at 4/1/18
  • So August saw a new pair of heels but they were bought with birthday money so I'm not counting them :)
I also spent £9 on a new running vest so total is now £235/365 for no 42.

Bought myself a new jumper - £18, technically speaking I bought it in August (I didn't try it on in the shop so had to exchange for a different size today) - I'm including it in August's spends and have updated my signature - £152.45/£300- pleased with that as I dropped some dress sizes and am replacing clothes!

Not sure I will manage a no spend September (need to replace some boots and may be job hunting so need something smart for interviews) but you never know!

  • Well done to all no August Spenders - keep it up.

I have turned down attending the work Xmas do this year - one of those big hotel do's -would cost me £32.95 for the ticket alone - then there would be the panic and pressure of what to wear, hair, nails etc and the drink, taxi on top I thought "I cant afford it, so why give myself all the worry etc:eek:
So I said no ........ I would love to go don't get me wrong but have my sensible head on at the moment plus I probably might sneak in after dinner when the entertainment/disco/band starts and have a quick drink at the bar with colleagues - got plenty of dresses I can get away with without going OTT.

Heres to a no spend Sept - have managed to wear that long black jersey dress a few times but have to be careful how I wear it as sometimes with a long belt and sandals I look a bit like a nun/monk!

Went to Norfolk to visit a friend - went and looked at the seals on the beach and took pictures of waves rather than go out and spend. No clothes spending so far this month.

  • Hello

I did ok in August top for £2- worn loads.

and received £50 birthday money which I'm holding on to for my Autumn/Winter stuff. Which is loads to me this year and this hopefully means I will last on here for much longer.

Sept so far I have bought a top for £3.50. I'm really pleased with this one from NL via chazza shop as it still had the tags on;)

so total left to spend this year = £9.50 + birthday money = £59.50
