We went shopping yesterday for holiday clothes...for DH. There is nothing I need. Possibly for the first time ever, I have enough to take with enough to wear before and after the holiday and I think its thanks to this thread. I appreciate what I already have, and make different outfits from the combinations and have been far more savvy with what I have bought this year.
Spend less now, work less later.

Done some shopping, no regrets. :) Spend £84 which is still within my allowance: bought Clarks sandals, one Next top, 2 bags from Debenhams and some cheap M&S knickers.

Thank you for the kind welcome. Have been sorting out my wardrobe and found that thinning out makes it much easier as I can now see what I have - couldn't see the wood for the trees - and the charity shop is quids in! I am determined to be more organised and disciplined with wardrobe and not buy on impulse - I am going to make only considered purchases in future.

Going to allow myself a budget for the next 4 months of £40.00. But ... have a "need" for a brown top to team up with several items already got so on the lookout for a bargain!

    Happy not shopping everyone.

  • So July has been a spendy month for me.
£18 in Sainsbugs on a pair of shorts and a scarf. The shorts were a need as last years no longer fit but the scarf was a want- I've got much more wear out of the first one than I expected so added a second in a different colour :).
The big spend was £132 on a pair of proper running shoes and two pairs of running socks- this was my treat from the back pay I got :o
So a July spend of £150  brings my total to £226/365

Free -to- review for a certain retail website, a £49 cycling jacket. Got this earlier in the week. It's quite masculine, the men's version is identical. Black with red and reflective silver detailing. Super light and a snug fit. So no spends, but a lovely jacket.

I'm popping in to say I'm going to be bowing out for the rest of the year. I've lost some more weight and I really need to replace some clothes and shoes that are falling off me now! I'll probably join up again next year, but for now 6 months of no spends is my limit :D

Good luck to the rest of you!:)

Thank you fedupandskint for my challenge number.

Hi everyone, sorry if this is duplicated but I seem to have lost my message. Came home empty handed from shopping trip for brown top - savvy shopper at last! Altered a dress to make a skirt cost nothing. Rescued top for the garden which had been destined for the charity shop. I'm going to declare as part of my budget 2 skirts bought just days before I registered as a challenger because it was this month's money.
