I think I have done my clothes shopping for the entire year this month. I had the opportunity to go to Cheshire Oaks and found my perfect spring and autumn medium weight coat in fat face reduced from £95 to £35 and I am delighted with it. Also picked up a pair of cropped jeans for summer for £12 down from £40. As this was last week it comes under Feb spending.

I am now strictly imposing a NO SPEND March & April and will not be browsing ebay either. Well done to all that are managing no spend months. I intend to follow in your footsteps!

hi no spends so far in march but we are going on holiday in may and I will need a new bikini, so as soon as they have swimwear in the shops (soon I would have thought, though not looked yet) I will be getting one, as last year I left it and left it and I couldn't find one that I liked and was my size.

I also will probably need new sandals. I've been wearing a £4 pair from New Look for 2 years- not sure they will last another year which is a shame as I love them and they are so comfy.

nilionaire my favourite clothes are my grey rocket dog ankle boots, skinny jeans, biker jacket and denim jacket

Can I ask what people wear in summer on their feet?

I seem to only like boots or flip flop/sandals. I don't like/suit ballet pumps, mary janes, moccasins, toms, brogues etc icon9.gif .
I have gone off converse a bit since my kids have them and can't wear heels as I have to walk miles.

well done to all the no spenders- it's not happening for me quite yet, though I am still at £23/£120 so not too bad:)

I got some T-bar sandals in the sale from river island last year, black with a silver metal t-bar, and they strap up with a buckle. Wore them pretty much everywhere as they were great with jeans but looked fine with more dressy outfits. Also great for driving because flip flops just come off :/

    Also recommend strappy wedges :)

Ooh yeah I forgot about your post asking about favourite clothes Nillionaire

    Mine are:

    - A pair of Levi jeans that I have had for about 3 years and wear all the time. They fit perfectly and wash so well. They were worth the investment. Will be sad when they wear out but seem to be ok so far.

    - A tan leather pair of flat below knee boots from Dune, again have had these about 3 years and have had them re-heeled. I also wear these all the time as they are perfect with skirts. Another good investment. Sadly they are getting a bit slouchy now.

    - A black long cardigan from H&M, wear lots, maybe not a favourite but is really useful. Again have had this a long time.

    - Grey pair of trousers from Fat Face, again I wear these lots for work, they are really comfortable and have lasted a long time. Another investment buy!

    - Parka from Fat Face - same as above really!

There seems to be a theme for me. The stuff that I wear the most seems to be the expensive stuff that has lasted ages. However, I know that I also have loads of expensive stuff that I hardly wear and loads of cheap vest tops that I wear loads!

Omarsgirl I'm afraid I am a Toms wearer and I love sandals with buckles on so that you can do the shoe up around your ankle. Means they don't fall off and I tend to find these more comfortable!

KT2802 I have two parkas from FF - one a lighter weather one and one a feather and down lined one - both in the sale and I think about £40 each. I get tons of wear out of them both and am so glad for the down lined one when it's really cold. Just like wearing a portable duvet :D

On the subject of fav clothes, I live in my jeans and love my Ugg boots, bought them about 6yrs ago now and still looking good.

Omarsgirl I do wear ballet shoes in the summer as they are comfy to walk in and easy to wear if you haven't done your nails. I must admit I think my feet look funny from above in them, but look fine from any other angle :rotfl: I also tend to wear sandals with a strap, I got a paid from Primark about 4 yrs ago for £6. They are gold have the t-bar and diamontes going up the front. So far they've done me two holidays, and three summers. They are so comfy (the ankle strap has thick material round the heel so they don't rub), can be worn day or night. Still got compliments on them last summer so not bad for £6.

Hmmm........well as for summer footwear I have a couple of pairs of ballet pumps but I need to be careful not to "overwear" them as they get a bit niffy in the hotter weather! I love my converse pumps and practically live in those all year round. I also have a bargain pair of leather flat sandals I got in the river island sale last year which are really comfortable but not that great if I have to walk a long distance as no cushioning. I don't get on well with toe post flip flops as find them uncomfortable. Had a pair of birkenstock footbed sandals a few years ago which were soooooo comfortable but they are wrecked now!

On the clothes front my favourate purchase is a leather look jacket by Principles that goes with everything and looks really expensive. I have also worn my Jack Wills gillet to death, together with a top from joules that I have well had my moneysworth out of. Oh...........not forgetting my giraffe onesie from next I got for Christmas closely followed by my kermit one from Primark! :D

hi thanks for your ideas nil, kt, blue and kerry - strappy sandals with buckles and wedges sound good and hopefully I can find some cheap and comfy ones.
I've decided to wear some high top converse that I've already got as well as kids don't have those :)

Creeping on here to report that im at (atleast) £194.53/£500

Had a MASSIVE sale splurge on kids stuff. I appear to have a worse clothes shopping problem than i thought. Luckily though, I think, except shoes/sandals and maybe some shorts for summer and tops for DD1 for summer that the kids are sorted until Winter. Got lots of stuff to sell now their outgrown so hoping to recoup some money back. Annnnnd my only decent good fitting pair of jeans now have 2 holes at the knees :( SIGH
