A no spend month on clothes - can't quite believe it myself ! :rotfl:

So my total remains at £4/£300

I'm very pleased, and not a little shocked that I achieved this!

I bought a pair of trousers that I have wanted for ages and were 20% off costing £17.50. I think I have made my target too low and proably should be aiming for £240 instead (I probably spent £360 last year). We'll see how it goes and I'll be aiming for a spend free march. Well done to all of the no-spenders!

  • Thank you his missus. Since this is a three-year degree, I might as well start building a bit of a performance wardrobe, as you say, for things I would never wear in "real life" :) I'll see how it goes.

Declaring a no-spend February here as well! My savings are thanking me ;)

    Well done everyone!

I've only crumbled once, a top in Primarni reduced to £2. Not bad going considering that there were others I liked and left behind.

Talked myself out of *needing* a new bag for holidays, and took an unused one from my wardrobe, which immediately began falling apart and so has gone in the bin now that I'm home. Was only a cheapy £8 job from Tesco, but I don't think I'm unreasonable expecting it to last more than 5 days before showing major signs of wear :( Still, it re-affirms my thinking that all future purchases should be based on quality (ie leather bags) rather than quantity.

Whoops, fell into TKMaxx before pole class (one dangerously close) to have a quick look at sports tops...and came out with a dress for £17 :o it's a sleeveless slightly sparkly semi-mod style. Not tried it on yet so might not fit.

Dress going back, sparkly bits are a bit scratchy and it needs a zip badly as it's a pain to get in and out of.

Thought I might fall off the No Spend wagon today but mum very kindly treated me to 2 new pairs of jeans at £15 each to keep me on track now she knows all about how much debt I'm repaying each month.

Well done to all the no spenders!
Well done to all the low spenders!
