Happy New Year
Please put me down for £500 - this will mostly be clothes for work and new underwear to fit new boobies!!!!
Although I busted the budget last year, I tried to stick to the one in & two out thingamy. looks like I had 88 incoming (ouch!) and am about 8 short of 176 out which went to CS, schwop party, sister, rubbish, rags etc. so am fairly pleased with self but have hardly any clothes left for work!
As far as I can recall, I only mis-purchased 4 tops totalling around £31 (sales, what can you do?) - I gave one of them to sister, 2 to schwop party and 1 to CS.

count me in again this year. I buried my head int he sand last year about our financial situation - could only deteriorate until September when childcare bill reduced slightly. But now I know where I am and where I'm headed.
£750 for all 4 of us in the house:

DD1 - £100 school clothes, £100 everything else
DD2 - £75 school clothes, £75 everything else

And the biggest challenge for me this year will be to keep this page updated with spending!DFW Nerd Club #545 Dealing With Our Debtnever attribute anything to malice which can be adequately explained by stupidity, [paranoia or ignorance] - ZTD&[cat]

School Uniform is expensive isnt it!! A tip that may be useful is to just buy 1 of each skirt/shirt etc to go to school in on the first day back. Once the kids are back at school all the supermarkets vastly reduce their stock, so go round them and get the rest you need at bargain prices. I got 2 cardigans for £2 at sainsburys and 5 pack of tights for £1, 5 vests £1, 2 pairs of trousers £2 and PE pumps for £1 a pair. i got 1 in every size they hadLOL Unfortunately i had bought most things already at full price last year but this year i will be getting the bargains!!

One week in and spending already, tut tut! Bought a black skirt and new pair of work trousers - total £30.0

I don't know if that would work for you but if you find you're always browsing websites at a certain time, say a Sunday morning, could you find a volunteering project/hobby that fits into that time so you aren't on a computer then.
Thanks for the idea, I will have a look. I used to volunteer before and found it really rewarding so it would be good to get back into it.
I also did end up buying the coat but it was further reduced and I have been wanting it since october when it was £75. My total so far is now £37.45 which isn't great only one week in. I will not buy anything else this month though. The 365 day penny challenge #24: £21.52/£667.95
