  • Hi, can I join in please? I found out about this challenge on the 2014 decluttering thread.

I lost weight last year, and had to buy loads of clothes, as my trousers kept falling down :o And it was fun, which lead to some ill-advised purchasing :o:rotfl:

So .... could you put me down for £300 this year? I know it's a lot, but I am new to this, and it's almost certainly a lot less than I spent last year  I need to have a bra fitting, and need new trainers (I work out a lot) but I hope to use vouchers from surveys, discounts and sales shopping to keep within my budget.

I have replaced some workout trousers this week, but had a shopping voucher from doing surveys, so they didn't cost me anything :T

Bit of an impulse buy but I bought a gold sparkly mini skirt from vero modo for £18. Not too bad.

  • Thank you fedup.

I am Freedom Friday-ing today, as I missed it yesterday. Wearing a knitted jumper dress - I don't wear it often because it just doesn't fit well, I've worked out - so once it's washed it's in the charity shop bag!

  • Well! Wandered around the charity shops today, and bought two items! The first is a lovely, plain black shift dress but with some beading on the cuffs. That cost me £2, but unfortunately the arms are REALLY tight. It'll probably go on ebay. The other thing I got is a charcoal grey floaty chiffon skirt from Zara. I actually bought this to resell on ebay - I thought it wouldn't fit me. Turns out it does and I really like it, so I may keep it. That was £1.99.

I hope the rest of the year is going to consist of me spending under a fiver a week :D

Could you alter the arms on the dress where there are too tight?

I've come to confess, ordered a fleece last night from MandM direct

    http://www.mandmdirect.com/01/details/QW860/Trespass-Womens-Hope-Waterproof-Fleece-Pink

I do need one for boot camp at 6.30am as it's outside, plus this killed two birds with one stone being waterproof as well. Wouldn't be my choice of colour but given half the time we start in the dark and I've barely woken up that's kinda my last worry :rotfl:

Also placed a bid on some shorts on fleabay, they're a size up from a pair I have, and have never worn because I seem to have out muscle on my thighs from aforementioned boot camp, and now my existing pair don't flipping fit  came across them by accident so fingers crossed I win them.

Avoiding committing to a total for the year until after sales shopping tomorrow :o

11 days and no new clothes..no shopping this weekend either :) ive spent the day listing clothes on my local fb site..if they dont sell they will go over to ebay :)
  • Hi
got some new slippers! And proud to say that is all.:T
    They cost £3 in sale.
Also went in new look with dd where she spent some of her xmas money but I can honestly say that I wasn't tempted at all.
I definitely am sick of winter clothes already so wont be adding to the pile I've already got.

Have had my eye on a pair of PJs on ebay. Love PJs and mine are all looking a bit lack lustre but have been umming and ahing over whether to spend the cash....

Then oh comes home from visiting the parentals and they gave him 2 christmas presents for us. Pair of PJs for me :j (don't'cha just love PJs???) so have now taken the aforementioned PJs off of my watch list :D no cost to declare :D

On a freedom Friday note. I did this yesterday and wore a grey sleveless mid length dress that I got from a bootfair last year for £1.50 with a black long sleved top underneath & purple tights. Quite happy with the combo for a weekend look :)

On the "losing weight and regaining the use of the 3 suitcases of clothes in the loft" note. Lost 3lbs this week :j Not enough to get the suitcases out but headed in the right direction!

    Happy clothes liberations guys :p
