survived a trip into town without spending a penny. Talked myself out of going into primarni so avoided all temptation.

A pair of el cheapo earrings that hadn't left my ears since the day I bought them finally broke this week. Instead of buying new I just replaced them with something from the stash of unworn and unloved earrings.

I've also managed to shift a lb or two this week. Be a while before I can shop the wardrobe, but a lb off is a lb off :)

  • Could I please join with a budget of £300 ?

I don't really need any clothes this year if I'm honest with myself but that is never usually enough to stop me! I have a pretty serious urban outfitters obsession! :D

Think I could manage it and need to because I am a student and my money is going to be very tight this year !

    Thanks :)

  • Well, I popped into town, to buy a fan heater (our boiler is broken, and it's flipping freezing!)and although I looked around a few shops, I didn't buy anything at all :A was a bit tempted by some of the new spring stock, but am going to work out what I need. A couple of years ago I started to organise and buy my clothes in 'capsules' grouped around certain colours, which means I have more outfits, but less clothes, and it's really easy to see whether something new will fit in with my existing clothes.

I've bought 2 jeans and a dress off Facebook via PayPal but I don't declare any paypal spends usually as it's 'my money' to buy whatever I want with so I don't declare it on my budgets, it's off grid, like an offshore account :rotfl: so I have spent £11 that's from paypal which I won't be officially declaring (I feel I should mention the spend though, lol)

    So still at £27.99/£500

On the "losing weight and regaining the use of the 3 suitcases of clothes in the loft" note. Lost 3lbs this week :j

Well done! I also have a suitcase in the loft with my "skinny" clothes. I've joined a diet class so hopefully i can join you on the weightloss.

    PS. PJs are amazing!

ETA: 9 months! what an amazing achievement Fedup

I've earned about £12 on e3ay which by my rules can be used to purchase clothes but I am still resolute that i don't need anything so shall not be counting it :) I want to wait until i'm more confident with my size so i can buy some lovely new clothes :)

  • Could I join please! Last years zero spend all year was a bit hardcore, but I did it. Got rather a lot of stuff for xmas and still have a couple of gift cards (that I wont include in the total as they are gifts!) so I am going for a modest spend of max £125

Went out into the sales with DM today so I have come to confess...

Bought 2 x pairs or shoes and some tights in primarni. One pair were some ballet pumps, the other some teal suedette going out shoes which I haven't yet found out if I can walk in...these may still be returned.

    1 x tshirt in Zara for 3.99
Pair of boots in house of Fraser for 30, down from 75. They have a low heel, are knee high with a shearling type cuff. They're nice, but I don't know if I love them, have toe weeks to return.

Then, bargain if the day, a little ditsy type print cotton skater dress in primarni. DM said for £5 she'd buy it for me as a late Xmas gift...till price £2 :T I nearly got two :rotfl:

After my clear out yesterday I need to start wearing some things I don't wear and work out what I genuinely do need, which prob isn't that much.
