Jazzy, I have found dorthothy perkins good for work tops in the past- especially if you buy on their offers or when there's a discount voucher in a magazine. Bought a new top from ebay for £4.20 today. It was originally from Oasis and still has the tags on so if it doesn't suit me or fit me I'll have no excuse not to resell it. I almost bought a coat in the Oasis sale for £40 but have resisted so far. I find that when I'm bored I just look at clothes sites online to pass the time so I think I need to find a new hobby...The 365 day penny challenge #24: £21.52/£667.95

I know this challenge is about recording spending/not spending on clothes but for me a big part is firstly knowing what I actually have, wear etc. and I'm also trying to declutter.
Our bedroom needs the electrics looking at, replastering, painting and a new carpet - that's our March and April project this year. I don't want to move any clothes I won't wear back into there so I've got about 7 weeks to decide what I actually have lurking in the backs of drawers, mainly collections of pants, tights, vest tops and nightwear.
Yesterday I emptied the pants, socks and tights sections of my drawers into another drawer and just put the bits I wore when we were away over Christmas (and have just been through the wash) back into them - I'm then going to see how often I need to go to the other drawers to find things and at the end of January go through the remainder to check there isn't anything useful still lurking and if not it's going. I very rarely wear ankle socks so having lots of pairs of old ankle socks lurking in drawers not getting worn, whilst they might still be ok to wear, if they aren't getting worn and are clogging up space I think they need to go.

I found I stopped searching the grabbit forums on here and buying random offers from Boots when I started volunteering, it definitely helped fill the 'bargain shopping' gaps.
I don't know if that would work for you but if you find you're always browsing websites at a certain time, say a Sunday morning, could you find a volunteering project/hobby that fits into that time so you aren't on a computer then.Initial Mortgage January 2024 - £160,000

My lovely DD has just brought me home a beautiful leather belt because she knew I needed a new one for wearing with jeans, so I don't have to spend on one myself now.Spend less now, work less later.0
