I tried this a couple of years ago but fell by the wayside, last year I packed away a lot of clothes I hadn't worn for a while, I haven't missed them so sold some via fb last year and will do the rest this year - that money will go towards home improvements/new furniture etc which is what all money I make from selling stuff goes towards.

I really sorted my 'style' out over the last year - I bought some lovely dresses that fit me brilliantly from Pepperberry and Joules. I last wore a pair of jeans in October 2012, and after a few 'mistakes' early on in 2012 I've definitely got much better at what I should be wearing throughout the year.

I also topped up my 'work out/swim gear' too and whilst I don't go made with shoes my shoes/boots and coats are all completely fine.

I'm going to set myself a challenge of £300 for everything this year, things I know I'll need are some new bras, nothing else I definitely know I need, but as I wear stuff/don't wear stuff I'll discover where the holes are in my wardrobe I guess. Don't want to set myself too low, fail and give up completely.

I kept up with the last few months of the last thread and there were brilliant results so looking forward to sharing in this thread from the start.

    So £300 for me please

Please may I join now? I've finally decided on a pledge!

    1) £400 budget for the year (includes everything: underwear, sports stuff and no offsetting with money made etc). This is less than I spent in 2013 year (my budget was £500) so should up the challenge slightly but not too much.

    2) No more than 1 bad purchase  - see my summary post on the 2013 thread. I had about 9 in 2013 - I think this is going to be the trickiest part of the challenge, not to fritter.

    3) I'm a hoarder - I can't throw stuff out. I've been living back with my Dad for the last few years while saving to buy a house - which I will do in 2014 so I'm pledging to only take a sensible wardrobe with me (e.g. not clothes I've not worn since school / university) and I have to get rid of the rest.

    Good luck everyone!

I'd like to join too with a target of £120.

I really need to stop spending so much money on clothes. I've got so much that I haven't even got round to wearing yet because lately I seem to spend the money without thinking if I'll actually wear it.

Good luck everyone and happy new year.
