    Hello

how lovely to pop in and see this challenge about to embark on another year :j

It's a few years now since the original thread, but I just wanted to pop in to wish you all good luck for the coming year and I know you'll all do fabulously at thinking your purchases through and making sure that you only buy what you truly love and will wear :D

Although I've been debt-free for some time, I still stick to the same principles when it comes to clothes shopping. I'm dedicated to ebay and I have spent the last year saving up £2 coins specifically to go towards my clothes, shoes and accessories allowance for 2014 so I have £224 to spend, as well as gift cards :j

Best of luck to everyone, and I might pop in again to see how you're all doing ...

    Happy 2014 to you all
    xx

Hello, I'd like to join this challenge please. Having just spent £50 this week on a jacket, I'm going to aim for £120 for the whole year. I shouldn't need luck, I even have unworn undies sitting in the drawer.

    Debt-free and Proud!
Hi, can I sign up for this year please?

I did really well with this in 2012 and it helped me become debt free 19 months earlier than planned (I was aiming for my 40th birthday in Sept 13). I replaced a lot of clothes in 2013 because I reached my goal weight and I didn't want clothes dropping off me any more!

Now I'm 40, still debt free, still happy with my weight so I'm getting back on the no spend wagon for 2014 as my need to save up for a new kitchen is much more important than my need for new clothes, shoes or bags!

So could you put me down for £000 for clothes, shoes and bags please?:D

Welcome Antwacky! Good luck with your no spend plans.

Same as me really with debt busting and losing weight. I'm saving up to pay off the final loan and then I become debt free.

Morning Crazy clothes gang! Thank you for taking the mantle fedupandskint! I also thought about running the thread but in the end thought I'd probably be terrible and not be able to commit over a whole year! You have my full admiration fedupandskint! :A

I did this challenge a few years ago. I think it was 2010 when I ruggedly committed to clearing our debt. I did stick to my £100 limit  but then the following year I was debt free and decided I didn't need to stick to it so rigdedly.

I have thought long and hard about my budget and originally thought £300 but now I have had a think I'm thinking £250. I too am embarking on a diet as of today! and if I can shift a stone then I have a whole other wardrobe sitting in my loft I can shop from. I have taken up sewing in the last year and have decided that 75% of my clothes I will make or refashion. I have material for 3 dresses & 1 top sitting in my cupboard and love sewing. I also purchased 3 pairs of shoes recently in the sales so I think I won't need any others this year with what I already have.

I am thinking I would like to get a pair of FCUK jeans when I lose the weight - they are expensive but absolutely the best! I also will want to get a few t-shirt/tops, a bikini and my underwear really needs to be replaced.

I will aim for 5 month's no clothes spend this year

so that's me then. May the challenge begin! :T
