Well the weekend is over again
Monday comes around so quickly.
I've had an ok-ish weekend, I was 100% on Friday and yesterday up until around 9pm when I started to feel twitchy about what I could eat.
I must have walked to the kitchen, opened up the fridge looked inside, closed the door and went back into the lounge around 3-4 times searching for something to eat. In the end I found some fruit pastels at the back of one of my cupboards and ate half the pack - I don't even really like them, but had to eat something. I feel quite ashamed as I know I sound like an addict! I'm glad it stopped at half the packet, I threw the rest away, but even thought about going into the bin at 11pm!! After that I went to bed
So today I woke up feeling quite ashamed of myself and promising to have a good day. I skipped breakfast and lunch as really didn't feel like eating and had roast dinner at 6.30pm again avoiding roast potatoes and parsnips and filling up on spinach, leeks, peas, and sweetcorn. Have distracted myself with cravings again this evening by sitting on my laptop and looking at pictures of people with flat stomachs!
I'm writing this so I can read back and remind myself where I got to last night, I have filled out my food diary being completely honest and mentioned this post in there. Nothing else postitive to write in there yesterday
I know I will probably sound like a right fruit loop, so please don't anyone take much notice of me. I am normal most of the time. I just find it easier to bear my soul to you guys!!0 -
I have one, it's the best thing I ever bought, but then we have chips/potatoes at least once a week. I don't get on with SW chips in the oven.. I always found them really dry.
In the actifry you can use olive oil (as a heb or syns) or just spritz them with frylight as you would normally.
The only thing I would say is it's hard to get really crispy chips, but I guess it's all down to experimenting.
Going to be trying this at some point in the next few weeks

eta sorry cross posted with everyone else.. I like the look of that one Mich - it's looks a bit more futuristic!
OMG!!! These sound lush! I lurve cheesey chips, have been cutting out carbs so haven't had chips for 2 weeks now, and cheesey chips used to be a treat from the local chippy!!
You've inspired me to look for more recipes, thankyou!0 -
My food for the day:-
Extra easy day
Lunch - 1 slice wholemeal bread (0.5 HEB) with 1 tin Princes Mackerel in Indian sauce (free), with chopped red pepper, yellow pepper and cucumber.
Have a good day everyone
Tracey
Tracey, I love mackerel in spicy tomato etc, is the Indian sauce one nice? Is it curry-ish? Never seen that one, where do you buy yours?0 -
Thanks for the replies everyone, I think I'm just feeling sorry for myself recently because I'm struggling a bit & not asking DH for help!
Brought pumpkins & squashes at local farm shop for 50p each! Pumpkin soup will be made! & a lovely stuffed squash baked in oven with a fromage frais onion & bacon & cheese filling (Hugh fearley wittingstall recipe!)
Regarding boiled eggs - I would normally eat them - pickled eggs are lush - but since living on eggs for brekkie for nearly 4 weeks cos of gestational diabetes I've gone off them for a weird reason!
I think I just need to plan more - I tend to do green days as its cheaper & I love my carbs! Brought some Linda McCartney sausages when they were £1 a pack in Morrisons - might cook them up & cut them into chunks to snack on as well as pumpkin soup & bubble & squeak 'cakes' & cheese & onion scan bran burgers - will have to get DH to look after Rebecca one evening so I can prep them all
RE: SW chips I normally parboil too many & once they are cold transfer into freezer bags in portions so that I can cook them from frozen - 20 mins in hot oven & finished off under the grill to get crispier! I always leave skin on too - more roughage & I can't be bothered to peel them (its a waste to ge rid of the best bit!)
Fingers crossed tomorrows weigh in isn't too disastrous!0 -

Today's food looks like this..
... Make a veg soup & graze on it throughout the day. SW chips. Throw in the last of the mushrooms & half a tin of beans into Saturdays spag Bol leftovers.... A big hot chocolate before bed.
So looking like a mostly free day. Am making the most of not being at work today, cooking wise & need to potter around the house.
Will weigh in Thursday/Friday .... Cheers x0 -
It's been a mixed bag this weekend. Saturday night seen me attacking the box of heroes that have been sitting since Christmas. I had about 6 and have left the rest. I felt so guilty and didn't enjoy them after the 3rd one.
I then went to visit relatives yesterday and took the 3 other boxes of chocs away to them. If I don't have them, then I can't eat them! :-)
I haven't been able to go for several days now but despite this, I have lost 1.5lb this week. Total loss so far is 6lb so hoping to get my 1st half stone next week.
Snacks and lunch all prepared for work today and having stirfry tonight for tea!

Morning,
So cold today. Think I am going to try and cut back on the carbs as well for a while as it defo boost my weightloss. Looking back I had far too many SW Chips last week. I know they are free but eating a lot of carbs hinders some peoples weightloss and I am one of them!
Weekend wasn't 100 % on plan as usual I's 30 syns in crisps and 8 extra slices of bread that I shouldn't have had. On a plus there wasn't much alcohol. Getting a bit fed up with myself and these little binges.
Anyway line drawn - as per usual trying to claw it back for Thursday and have meal planned up until next Saturday night so hopefully that will keep me on the straight and narrow.
Today
B: Pineapple Fingers & WW Yogurt
L: Beef Stew with lots of Veggies - very small amount of spudRemains of stew & Heinz Five Beans snack pot
Snack - Melons & Strawberries
Going to drink Green Tea throughout the day and lots of lemon water.
Good luck to everybody today
Oh Becks when I was in bed last night I was dreaming of a Chinese lol - if it makes you feel any better.
Think this cold weather combined with stress & depression makes me just wanna stuff myself.0 -
Morning all
Well done on the losses folks :j, hello to the newcomers :hello: and hugs to those having a tough time of it right now,
Im a bit sleepy this morning since CharleiB decided he needed more badooby at 3am  -not often he does that now but its still :rotfl:.
I think I will go for a red day today -which hopefully will look something like this:-
- 750ml semi (3xA)
- 1 oat so simple (hexB+2syns)
- fruit
- haddock
- roasted carrots and onions (0.5)
- beef stew (1)
- carrots
- cabbage
- 100g peas (B)
... I really can't think of anything that makes me think "mmmm Im really looking forward to that" -I suppose on the UP side it means Im not craving stuff I shouldn't have but it also means Im not eating enough,,, will have to figure it out soon :wall:
Speaking of food I need to get a small shop delivered -mainly fruit and veg -I swear my little fella is just like his mummy and is part gorilla -the amount of fruit he gets through is -especially for someone so ickle -still Id rather that than sweets n stuff.... hopefull once he gets to nursery and realises that there are things called sweets he will still prefer fruit *pinkies crossed*;)
Right I had better get off and get that shopping organised..
Have a lovely day everyone...-6 -8 -3 -1.5 -2.5 -3 -1.5-3.50
