Hi all, here's our lovely spreadsheet so far:
If any info is incorrect, please let me knowx
Hi there,
Please could you add me. My total to lose is 2st 10 and I would like to lose at least 10lb before valentines day. Hope it's ok to join in?
Food wise, doing really well today. Poached eggs, bacon and beans for breakfast. A large plate of melon for a snack after walking the dog. Dinner will be roast pork, mash, cabbage and carrots. Low sugar jelly and raspberries for pud.
Weigh in tomorrow. Fingers crossed x0 -
Good morning,
I've been lurking on this thread for the past few days, having decided to have a go at SW on my own.
I started on 06/01/14 at 13st 5.5lbs. Crikey, I cannot believe how much weight I have put on in this last year!
I came off SW (i.e. stopped attending the groups) when I got down to 11st 8lbs in January 2013. So, I've put in nearly 2 st in 1 year through going back to old eating habits.
However, drawing a line under that, my first week of starting back on SW has not been too bad. It's very much a conscious effort in the first month or so - forcing myself to make a free pasta dish on Friday night after a couple of vodka diet cokes, instead of succumbing to our weekly Indian takeaway temptation was very difficult. However, once the dish was cooking, I felt in control again.
It's my birthday this weekend coming so I know I'll need flexible syns therefore I'm going to try and limit myself to between 5 - 10 syns per day this week then do as I please on Saturday, then ensure I have the right food in for a SW breakfast (free) then next day. We'll see how we go
Weigh in is tomorrow morning so, if I get round to it, I shall post an update as to what I've lost (I did weigh myself this AM naughtily and have definitely lost but will wait for my official weigh in tomorrow so it's official).
My goal weight is, as per all my previous weight loss attempts, 9st 8lbs so I have quite a journey ahead of me.
Lovely to meet you all properly anyways and apologies for my massive 1st post!
Much love

Has anyone used Quark successfully for a yummy free dessert?
I use quark to make a 0.5 syn roulade
4 eggs
vanilla extract (a few drops)
4 tbsp. canderel
Strawberries or raspberries chopped
Frylight
1 tsp baking powder
1 tub quark
Pre-heat oven to 200
Separate the egg whites from the yolks
In the bowl of egg yolks add 0.5 tub of quark, 2 tbsp. canderel, few drops of vanilla extract and the baking powder, mix together.
Whisk the egg whites until peaks form and then add half of the egg white mixture to the egg yolk mixture and stir in gently. Then fold the rest of the egg white mixture in slowly so you don't loose the air bubbles.
Line a swiss roll tin with greaseproof paper and spray with frylight so the roulade doesn't stick.
Tip the roulade mixture onto your swiss roll tin and put in the oven for about 10 minutes. It will rise quite high but then sink when you take out of the oven.
When cooked turn out onto a cooling rack and peel off the greaseproof paper and leave to cool.
Make the roulade filling using 0.5 tub quark, 2 tbsp. canderel and a few drops of vanilla extract. Mix together and keep in the fridge until your roulade is cool. When cool spread and filling onto the roulade and top with chopped fruit and then roll up like a swiss roll and keep in the fridge.
Yummy and only 0.5 syn for the whole roulade.
I have also made a chocolate roulade, adding 22g chocolate options to the quark filling mixture and some cold water so it is not too thick (this would be 4.5 syns for the whole roulade)
Hope this helps

My food for the day:-
Extra easy day
Breakfast - 1 slice wholemeal bread (0.5 HEB) with 1 tsp Nutella (1.5 syns) and a chopped banana, 125ml semi skimmed milk (0.5 HEA)
Lunch - 1 slice wholemeal bread (0.5 HEB) with 1 tin Princes Mackerel in Indian sauce (free), with chopped red pepper, yellow pepper and cucumber.
Tea - Cowboy hotpot which is cooking in my slow cooker, contains extra lean minced beef, baked beans, onions, carrots, green beans, potatoes, beef stock, tomato puree, tabasco, salt and pepper and parsley (Free). Good afternoon all
Hello to the new joiners :hello:
Im here again.... well "so far -so good" -Im glad I cooked extra veggies for lunch as we sat to the table -me, hubby and Charlie -and after starting on his own plate -charlie swiped all the broccoli off my plate  and he ate every last bit too :T -I wasn't about to protest as at only 21 months if he is still happy to eat his veggies then Im making the most of it-yesterday he was "helping" by eating steak and dipping it into horseradish
Milddred -that's a good idea for the sandwich thins!! Im planning on making a SW version of doner kebab later this week so Im going to use one of those instead of a pittathe actual kebab meat is really yummy so I will have to post the recipe when I do it.
I can see a pizza coming on next weekend -I make my own dough and use my syns for it and have a green day so I can use the HexBs for extra cheese -well lets be honest if you are having pizza you want PIZZA- mine will be onion, goats cheese and balsamic nomnomnom..
Hope everyone is having a good day.....
off I go again...must get something done..
