Thanks 2b - really appreciated. That's amazing isn't it - several stone (about 6?) gone already between us.

I'm plodding on and lurking even though I don't always have time to post. Still sticking to plan!

Hope you don't mind me snipping your post - but bits of it are exactly what I was going to post earlier!!

My menu is carb heavy today (rice, sw chips, pizza toasts) but i'm ok with that at the minute because it stops me going for the sweets/high syn foods.. or that's the plan anyway :rotfl:

Same here, I watched emergency bikers once with a man who was having a hypo and it made my cry, it was just so awful, along with all the other issues the disease causes it's not something i'd ever want to go through!

We have type 2 diabetes in the family (as a lot of families do these days) as well as heart disease and cancer all at young ages. My dad was 42 when he had his first heart attack and has had 2 major bypasses since, my mom passed at 48 from cancer.

I'm now coming up to these ages (i'm 37 at the minute) and want to limit my chances of being ill.

Hi Sharnad, it depends on what sort of person you are - do you need the fear of weigh in or are you ok to do it alone.

If you need the support of a physical group then i'd say you would be better joining a group but if you think you could do it alone then feel free to ask any questions you want here.

We're quite normal.. most of the time :D
Thanks last time I did it alone. Just thought the advice would be good. Don't think I would like a public weigh in. At the moment I'm going off how I feel and how my body looks rather than trying to get of so much weight each week

Thanks for the chart 2b  It's a hell of a job for you, but much appreciated xxx

I've been rubbish :o It all started when I had ONE SLICE of birthday cake with Tadpole on Thursday. Was a huge pig after that, then again on Friday evening. Then I was good all day yesterday, then I stuffed again last night. I got all the way to 8.30, I'd even brushed my teeth! Then I saw the last 3 cookies sitting on the side and that was it. Game over.

So, I'm making a few changes. I'm starting my Week 2 as of tomorrow, and I'm changing my Weigh in Day to Friday. That should give me a few more days to change things around.

Stupid Frog :( Enjoy the rest of your weekend :)

    HEB1 - 2 slices WM bread
    HEB2 - jacket potato

    Snacks - banana, melon, mullerlight
Syns - 2 Tbs Lighter than Light Mayo 1

Thanks for the chart 2b but I didn't actually want to be in the challenge as I find I don't work well under pressure :rotfl: I had to pull out the last two challenges cos I was so rubbish :o

Frogga and MO2 - I was bad last night too :o OH went out and that's like a green light to raid the kitchen, but the positive side is there is no chocolate left in the house and I don't intend to buy anymore.

I've had a sneaky weigh in, I like to on a Sunday, and I'm 1lb down so if I'm on track till Wednesday I should be ok for a STS or loss this week. I'm also staring regular exercise today (will try for 4-5 times this week)

B - none, never really eat it at weekends
    L - chicken salad
T - shepherds pie, extra carrots
    S - crisps (4.5)

Will get some healthy extras in there somewhere too.

    Have a good day xx

  • I'm struggling to get back in the swing of things - my meals are all SW friendly (the ones I cook!) but it's the snacking tha I'm struggling with & I'm 'starving' all the time because of breast feeding - even magic porridge doesn't fill me up for long

If I'm out for the day I don't snack as I'm busy so it's only when I'm at home it gets to me & if I'm out during day I struggle to get any SW friendly foods

For example I went to costas on Friday & was there over lunchtime - LO had her lunch but that left me 'starving' - it was a panini or cake (or both) so just went with a panini (not even thinking of syns!) I was late home so nothing prepped for dinner & we had to visit parents in law - we left theirs at 10pm by then I would have eaten LO (including a stinky nappy!)! So we stopped at the Golden Arches!

So I need your help - excluding fruit what snacks could I have when at home? Something that is quick to prepare & easy to eat with a baby on my lap! I don't like salad (leaves etc) & usually do green days but can do extra easy days!
