That's no different to what has always been, so I'm clearly not being careful enough. I'm going to get back to writing EVERYthing down as that seems to be quite motivating for me - I can see when I've been 'good' as well as when I have let things go.
I'm drawing a line in the sand but I won't be weighing in until Tuesday, so that'll be my starting point. I have about 5 stones to shed yet.
I find eating out the most difficult part of SW. These days I just have a flexi meal but it wouldn't work if you go every week. Rather than give up on social life then I think perhaps you need to make the wisest choices possible and save up syns for those two special meals. As for the family, I just cooked SW food when people come round. Roasts are perfect. For puddings I used amazing restraint. So I'd do cheese, biscuits and grapes and just eat the grapes or a big bowl of strawberries and raspberries and I'd have 0% Total when others had cream. Thanks Mich,
Am really really struggling with easy lunch ideas, we're eating lots of the same - pasta salad really. Anybody got any ideas? Ideally something I can share with the baby too
I have a lot of leftovers. So mash, peas, cabbage and carrots fried up with some cold meat if I have any. A little of that should be fine for baby too.MrsChristmas wrote: »I ended up going out last night. Stuck to gin & soda water, no nibbles until I crawled in... Ended up making a crisp sandwich
Could kick myself at undoing all my weeks good work but am just going to get straight back on it with a yogurt & cereal bar for breakfast, although what I really fancy is a greasy fry up!
You won't have destroyed a week with just one crisp sandwich. :T on getting back on the wagon this morning.
As for my slimming inspiration: VANITY pure and simple!:o I hated being fat and now I love looking at the new, slim me every day. I NEVER get bored with it.0 -
Can anyone tell me the best way to cook SW Chips please.
I have been looking at some recipes and they all vary, e.g boil chips for 3-4 or 4-5 mins, oven temps vary between 180c and 220c, cook for 15-20 mins.
Have tried different temperatures for 20 mins but they are never cooked, leave them for longer and they are usually brown in places, never golden as in photos.

I'm no expert (!!!!!) but I parboil mine for longer than 5 min, probably at least 10 and then drain, and dry with a clean tea towel, popped in a tray with spray oil and seasoning and then in the oven at about 180 for about 20 min, checking often xx0 -
Well it's my daughters 12th birthday today. Thankfully i am not doing anything extravagant for her so not much temptation to go off plan but was up early to take her hairdressers so never had breakfast. Compensated with a nice big omlette (more scrambled eggs once i got it out the frying pan) for lunch. Got a nice big chocolate birthday cake for later.0

Thanks all - I've done a major shop today so fully stocked & will mealplan tonight. 5 x 100% days in & still the same weight I was last weekend
Ah well.
B; pudding rice & yoghurt shared with DD
L; pasta, baked beans & grated cheddar (Hea) + banana + sugar free jelly (0.5syns)
D; SW chicken curry (HEb) with onions, peppers, mushrooms & tomato's with rice.
A bit carb heavy - maybe that's my problem but it's sooo comforting & filling

PS - my main reasons for wanting to lose;
I feel uncomfortable - from my double chin, to my bra digging in, to the tyre around my waist that I could rest my dinner on
I also HATE clothes shopping when I'm like this - I still remember the last time I was at target (11 years & pre-hubby ago) & I was in a changing room & had to ask the assistant to get a SMALLER size for meIt's never happened before nor since lol. I also want to avoid the inevitable diabetes (more luck than judgment that it hasn't caught me already)
