Apparently you can make 'muffins' using the magic pancake mix? (Magic porridge plus two eggs iirc).

What about alpen lights as your hexb?

Par boil potatoes, sliced, and roast in the oven, serve with hummus or salsa?

    Gooooooooooooood morning all

It's lovely and frosty here today -it makes everywhere look lovely and clean doesn't it...

Well done on the losses everyone :T

I have been fine so far -no eating things I shouldn't :A:rotfl: but still falling a little behind on eating the hexB and syns -but Im getting there ;)

Today is going EE and it's looking like this (hopefully):-
    • 500ml semi (2hexA)
    • fruit
    • roast brisket
    • steamed potatoes
    • carrots
    • cabbage
    • broccoli
    • brussels (if hubby makes it to the allotment
    • peas
    • possibly a drop of gravy (2syns)
    • 1tbs horseraddish (2)
    • fruit
    • cottage cheese
    • lettuce
    • cucumber
    • tomato
    • peppers
    • celery
    • onion
    • tickled reetboot
    • tickled shallots
I might have a wholemeal cob (60g) with my salad to use up my hexB.

I got some of those warburton sandwich thins yesterday at our local shop -50p a packet with the 18 jan on -so I have shoved them in the freezer -they are the white ones and come in at 5syns each so will come in handy as a stand by ;)

I think that todays plan of action might be to get the veggies under way for lunch and then do some more planning.... need to get super organised (famous last words :p)...
right I will leave you all in peace now....have a lovely day everyone and keep at it...we are getting there....

Nessie -I had the same problem when Charlie was tiny -I used to get soooo hungry sometime I could have chewed the furniture :rotfl:. He is still feeding now, although he eats so much solid food you wouldn't think he would need much "badooby" -but no-one has informed HIM of this :rotfl:. Not the most exciting thing but I used to keep boiled eggs in the fridge -they were a life save when I was pinned to the sofa. (peel a couple first thing and shove em in a bag in the fridge) and then if you think bubba is going to settle for a feed grab em... I would try and go for protein if you can as it keeps you full for longer.
I can't exactly remember but are you getting 2 extra hexA and 1 extra hexB ? I used to try and do red/green days because that way I was getting 7hex's :T.... if thats the case you could use a couple of hexBs and pack 2 wholemeal cobs out with plenty of protein and some tomato etc and then that will cover 2 daytime feeds with your little one. If (and I know its a big IF) you get time then get some soup made -then you can have that "free" inbetween feeds to keep you filled up. oooh and slice a banana on to your porridge and some defrosted berries -it will keep you going a bit longer and give you extra vitamins..
    ok Im rambling now :rotfl:

I'm struggling to get back in the swing of things - my meals are all SW friendly (the ones I cook!) but it's the snacking tha I'm struggling with & I'm 'starving' all the time because of breast feeding - even magic porridge doesn't fill me up for long

If I'm out for the day I don't snack as I'm busy so it's only when I'm at home it gets to me & if I'm out during day I struggle to get any SW friendly foods

For example I went to costas on Friday & was there over lunchtime - LO had her lunch but that left me 'starving' - it was a panini or cake (or both) so just went with a panini (not even thinking of syns!) I was late home so nothing prepped for dinner & we had to visit parents in law - we left theirs at 10pm by then I would have eaten LO (including a stinky nappy!)! So we stopped at the Golden Arches!

So I need your help - excluding fruit what snacks could I have when at home? Something that is quick to prepare & easy to eat with a baby on my lap! I don't like salad (leaves etc) & usually do green days but can do extra easy days!

I think you need more protein to make you łess hungry. As for snacks, boiled eggs in the fridge so you can grab one, chicken drumsticks (sorry, don't know if you're vegetarian) a mixed bean salad with some dressing, meatballs, slices of bacon, you can make a little platter of cold meats and cherry tomatoes, some cheese, quick to grab and munch on while feeding

ok -Im back -just spotted you like Green days.... have you tried 12 speed soup? LOads of veggies and beans and I LOVE it (although it does cause "windy" issues) so you might need to check it doesn't affect your little one... I will post the recipe if you want it. I leave mine in chunks and gawd I need to make some of that...

Don't mean to be rude but I find that meal planning works better before I go shopping. I think it's the mse in me, I do my plan around what I have in and want to use up then buy the minimum.;)

Not rude at all - that's how I usually do it but I had very little in - I've still shopped with what I already have in mind, but just bought the remaining ingredients ;) xx (By 'Meal Plan' I mean write it down so I remember one day to the next to defrost or prep anything before I go to work ;)

    Could I join please?
Have been doing SW for so long and have got to target 3 times I think but slip back into old ways, mainly cheese, wine and bread and then I'm back to square 1.
Rejoined a group in April last year and have taken the scenic route to losing 10llbs, have lost more actually got my stone award but life keeps getting in the way!
Went back after Christmas and have put on 5 1/2 llbs, bought a six week countdown and would like to be at target when that ends as a major motivation and so I don't have to keep paying money out!
Target weight to lose is 9 and a half pounds please and weigh day is Tuesday.
Posted today because off to a big family party this afternoon so this will help me stay on track and make the right choices!
