Hi all, just checking in on the nice shiny new thread.. hope you all had a great Christmas x
from the old thread..Mich city don't worry you can get back on track. Im expecting a gain like that next week lol we are allowed to enjoy ourselves every once in a while but just remember you are in control and as we are now thinking like skinny people lol we no that to have treats and enjoy ourselves we need to get back on plan afterwards - that's what Im telling myself anyway but I no I will feel like rubbish when I get weighed on Thursday
i'm still not fully focused but getting better.. funnily enough the 6 1/2lb gain didn't bother me too much as I knew exactly why it happened.. I was more gutted with the 1 1/2lb gain the fortnight before as i'd stuck to plan and think that's the reason I went into self destruct mode.. with having the next week off on hol also thought i'd have a few treats then get back on track... only I didn't
my treadmill is gathering dust in the dining room too.. need to have a stern word with myself!
interesting to see what everyone has for targets.. I'm 5' 6" and started at 16st 10lbs and my target is 12st 3lb (4 1/2 stone off) think i'll be happy at that (will see when I get there!).. I've put 7lbs on from my lowest weight so back to 1 1/2 stone to go.. Got my 3 stone award back in July, hopefully it wont take as long to get to the next one!!
I always stay to class.. Our consultant is great and its a lovely group of people, sounds like that makes a big difference reading about others experiences on here.. This thread is invaluable too.. Don't always post daily but do read and lurk

Well I've fallen off the wagon folks:eek:
On top of everything else today my grandson was admitted to hospital this evening:(
we started 2013 with him in hospital and we're ending it the same way
He's a complex case and a 'frequent flyer' but it's always crappier at this time of year. One of his problems is epilepsy and this afternoon he just had fit after fit and so they took him in to try and control it. Thankfully they've managed to stop the fitting but they need to keep him in in case he starts again.
So I've eaten a large slice of christmas cake and a bag of pretzels this evening and now I feel really hacked off with myself as it's only my first week!!:mad:
I don't even know why, thats the really annoying thing. I mean me stuffing my face isn't going to make him better is it?
Any other comfort eaters out there? Any tips on how to deal with it gratefully recieved:)
Can I go without syns for the next couple of days do you think to compensate for it?

I think I've had about 60-70 syns tonight :eek: going to have to work really hard this week to pull it back. However it wasn't all bad- I had loads of salad and loads of superspeed melon for dessert- and all I ate all day was superspeed fruit (until I started nibbling at choccie buttons tho- uh oh :eek:)
Mich- that's freaky you were exactly the same start weight as me and the same height too!

Well I managed to get through New Year's Eve ok without blowing the plan. Does anyone have an idea of how many syns a portion of chicken tikka would be? Just the chicken without the sauce. Im thinking low or free as it is just cooked with the spices.Determined to save and not squander!

Well, I hopped on the scales. What a shock. They are brand new so they are telling the truth, and Mr Frog and Tadpole 2 hopped on last night and they were correct. So it said I was 14st 13.6lb. That's very nearly 15st. And in November I was 13st 5lb. What a wake up call. I did exactly the same last December. I put on 2 stone. I have a lot of thinking to do today
When I think about what I've eaten, it makes me sick. I just read Mrs Ryan saying 'I've eaten about 70syns last night' and I reckon I could say I've eaten about 700 last night, and every night for the past month
Need to draw a line

and just get on with it, it is what it is. I can get rid of it. I can get down there again. I'll have a few weeks of feeling fat, then as soon as I see 13st something, I'll feel better. It wont take long. And as it's cold weather I can hide under my baggies

My stats
Female 5ft 1in and 11St 4oz went on my Will fit yesterday and it says I should be 8St 7Lbswell when I went to class before my target was 9st so think I will go with that.
I struggle with exercise as I have Mixed connective tissue disease and Chronic fatigue syndrome but I'm going to try and do 15 mins Wii fit a day or a little walk or swim if my legs/eyes are up to it! Pulled a muscle in my leg doing a yoga pose yesterday so that's a good start not!
Today I'm going to order a fruit and veg box and find my books.

Syn saving - I do it as it works for me and some days I don't want syns and others I want lots? 105 a week is how it breaks down- sorry to hear about your grandson x

Can someone please tell me? The Special K porridge red berry sachets, how many syns? I have a box in the cupboard and I don't think anyone else but me would eat them.
