Catt what about pasta with Philadelphia stirred through? Onion peppers sweet corn ham/chicken?
No Philly or soft cheese in at the mo - but must put some on the shopping list - always nice to have in especially with Melba Toast as a snackMrsChristmas wrote: »Skint cat.. I seen a SW carbonara recipe somewhere .. Trying to find it now. The mac n cheese one in this months mag sounds delicous too. Really looking forward to trying out some of these types of recipes over the weekend. Especially being able to join the family with a cooked breakfast.
I just don't get the time during the week between work & kids.
Meal planning will definitely be my key to success.
Don't normally bother with carbonara just for myself, but might take a look in the cupboard. I'm finding the Schwartz sachet mixes really good syn value for things like this at the moment - they usually work out 1-2 syns per portion. That's how I made the chicken & leek bake the other day (7 syns for the pack but made up into a pasta bake it would serve 8 easily so less than 1 syn per portion.
Will probably just end up with my usual pasta topped with baked beans & HEa grated cheese with some fruit for afters :rotfl:0 -
Well done losers

It's my little tadpoles 18th Birthday tomorrow. I know, I know I don't look old enough to have an 18 year old tadpole, the benefits of a fat face, it puffs out all the wrinkles
Am feeling VERY positive this evening. We were chatting at work about weight gain over Christmas, and weight in general. One lady at work, a PE teacher is really lovely looking, and we all comment about how we'd like to look like her.
She said she was on a diet as she'd put on weight over Christmas. She asked us to guess how much she weighed. She's 5ft 4 1/2in. I said about 9st 7lb. She told us she was 11st 7lb. I was stunned. She looks really fit (in the sporty way), and I now feel I really could get to 11st. I had always said 10st was my target, but my friend said she looks ill at 10 stone. I really think I could do this

Skint Catt - not quite carbonara, but how does this sound:
Cheese& bacon tagliatelle :
SAUCE :
Low low cheese 60g
Grated Parmesan 30g
Fat free fromage frais ( 250g )
2 eggs beaten
2 tsp garlic
Salt & pepper
Dry fry or frylight bacon, mushrooms, peas, leeks, sweet corn & onion & mix the sauce and cooked tagliatelle into the pan. and cook for around 5 mins
This is all apparently free if you take your cheese from your HEA .0 -
