Thanks for posting that mumoftwo - I've only just got back on the laptop after getting dinner ready. Just hope it tastes better than it looked going into the oven! It's the oddest looking mac cheese I've ever seen!

Ok, that's me done now before 'Weigh Day Wednesday'. Really hoping to have lost at least 1/4 of my Christmas Weight Gain, but that would be 7lb, having put on 2 stone :o

We'll see, good luck to all of us, and well done to the losers so far, can't wait to see the updated list on Saturday to see how much we all lost in week one :T

I will PM you my email address and name -do you need anything else?

Whilst Im here I will  - dinner was scrummy (in the end)
I came to make my cheese n onion fry-its and dropped the tub of breadcrumbs  oooh there was lots of mess and cursing -anyhoo after much rummaging I came across a pack of Mexican Discovery "crispy crumb coating" so weighed out 28g of that instead and nom nom nom....and to add to the mix up I remebered that I had no branston beans (thankyou tesco for not doing them anymore ) so I had them with steamed broccoli, carrots n peas. I made extra so I have 2 cakes minus the coating for lunch tomorrow :A:rotfl:
If anyone wants the recipe it was:-
    cheese n onion fryits
    • 400g potato -steamed and mashed
    • large onion -finely chopped and zapped in the micro
    • 84g low fat cheddar
    • 1tsp English mustard
    • seasoning

    • 28g natural breadcrumbs
    • 1 egg beaten
simply wallop all the top ingredients together -leave to cool so you can handle it, shape into 4 cakes and chill, dip in the egg and then breadcrumbs and whack in the oven until nice n crispy.
mine worked out a 1hexA and 2 syns for 2 cakes (and a bit like myself - they aren't dainty ;))
I have done these often before and have found steaming the potatoes or baking as jackets works best so they are nice n dry, the mustard is needed too as it makes the cheese taste stronger, oooh and if you have extra syns or hexA then a piece of cheese in the middle when shaping them is yummy ;) oooh and chopped spring onion is nice in there too.
Hopefully they will be of use to someone.

Good luck frogga - I'm weighing in tomorrow too:p

Yup :oI lose it easily, then I just can't stay focused, and I go mad, and put it all back on again. 5 times in 25 years. From 6st at 15 up to 20 st at 18 :o Up and down, up and down like a tarts knickers.

Frogga You do make I larf. :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl: My granny used to say up and down like a brides nightie

Loving the baby pictures, don't worry all you broody ones with grown up kids, grandchildren are just around the corner, and they're even better cos you can give them back if they get too loud or smelly:rotfl:

Feeling a little better today but really dizzy still with my sinuses, enough body magic just trying to stay balanced today:D

B: 2 slices wm bread (heB) with low fat soft cheese (hea)
L: Nil as felt really queasy
D: SW pan haggerty and nut cutlet (9 syns) followed by sugar free jelly with loads of berries (I'm calling no syns there)

Tea with skimmed milk (Hea) Still need to fit in another Heb so will probably have a handful of almonds later.

Fruit and veg sticks to snack on this evening, plus plenty of knitting to do to keep the old fingers busy:D

Good luck to all those weighing in tomorrow

All the batchelors pasta n sauce and rices i split into 2? Then add like ham/chicken pickled onions/beetroot salad etc?

No wonder I'm a fat kn@cker, I eat a whole packet of savoury rice, and add veggies, baked beans, and sometimes even tikka chicken. If I add a lot I do tend to leave some in a dish, then pick at it later, but I do stuff my face with it. I think maybe I'm missing out the 'moderation' part of the plan at times

How I've lost weight I'll never know, I'd been having this for my lunch several days a week in the first few weeks of the plan. No wonder my losses were slow.

Has anyone else made a boo-boo like me, and not realised? Last time around I was taking the fat off the bacon after it'd cooked, whereas I think it's better now to do it beforehand. I'd also thought the Sula sugarfree boiled sweets were free, only to discover they can be 1/2 or 1 syn per sweet :(

    Evening!

Enjoyed some more of my low syn pate today, unfortunately I think tomorrow might be the last day it's good for as I made it on Sunday and I am wary of fish and dairy.

I am so tired, is this common? Been on the plan for a week now but making WI Friday as my lifestyle means it's easier to boost my superspeeds and body magic at weekends if needs be.

    Two twenty minute walks today.

Breakfast - Poached egg and beans on HEXB toast and some melon.

Dinner - chicken tikka breast, extra light mayo (2 syns) mixed with pasta and peppers on a huge salad.

Snack - Sour cream snackajacks (5 syns) and carrot sticks and celery with 1 syn of pate.

Tea will be syn free minced beef hash and carrots and broccoli

Supper of an apple, a muller light greek style (1/2 syn) and a 2 syn option chocolate.

HEXA as always milk in tea and any left over in my chocolate. Such a creature of habit!!

Going to try slow cooking porridge with water overnight tonight for a change at breakfast, have chopped up some pineapple and kiwi to have with it...

I went to smiths earlier for a mirror but there was none left. We finally got rid of the xmas tree today except there was piles and piles of needles left to clean up. The hoover is total cack and it didnt pick any up. Instead it got too hot and stopped working  which meant i had to sweep them up with a dustpan & brush . 2 Hours it took me. I was not happy.
