Afternoon gang,
Nessie, your LO is gorgeous! I blimmin love babies... wish I wasn't too old now for having one, but then I remember the sleep deprivation, and I do love my bed and sleep....
Re. the raffle, in our group the Consultant started off a £5 worth prize for the raffle, and whoever wins then gets it the following week. We try to fill the bag with ingredients for a meal, so for example last night's had weetabix, milk, bacon, eggs, small w/m loaf & some veg I think. I've included the ingredients for a SW quiche and included a recipe printed off in the bag. We have a venue with a fridge if needed, and I take along everything chilled beforehand, so it's no different than putting shopping in a car really the time we're there.
MrsLady - well done on the loss. I was slow to start too, and felt a bit disheartened, as last time I did SW I lost 6.5lb in the first week. It's taken me 6 weeks to lose 7lb this time around, but at least it's consistently going down (albeit with a 2.5 gain over Christmas). I think I just have to accept it will be slower this time, but sticking with it is the only way to shift the weight.
I'm another scale hopper. I don't find it has a negative impact though, thankfully. If it doesn't show the numbers budging, or god-forbid a gain, it makes me stick with the plan rigidly to ensure they do go down. If I do see a loss, I'm really keen to maintain it, or better it, so I'm doubly motivated to keep on plan. I guess if it acts as a motivator, it's not a bad thing, but if you find you're affected negatively, I'd steer clear. Mine weigh identically to SW, so I know it's a pretty true reflection of what's going on. I always hop on just before class, in my usual WI clothes to prepare myself for how I'll do.
I had my WI last night, and was pleased with a 2lb loss. That's good, because I have been completely on plan. I am not exercising, or even moving about a great deal right now, so I should be very happy with that.
One step forward is that I have managed to squeeze into my largest size 16 jeans (the ones I had to abandon for a couple of size 18's from Tesco that look dreadful on me). Now, I'm assuming a muffin-top and camel-toe are on trend for this spring's fashion collection, because that's what I'm now sporting.I'll try to walk faster so that I'm more of a blur and people can't see how horrific I look.
Food plan today:
EE Day :
B - satsuma, Greek Muller Yogurt 1/2 syn
L - Bacon, egg, Five Baked Beans, 1 slice w/m bread HExB
D - Lamb shank in mint gravy 1 1/2 syns, veggies, SW roasties.
Might have a hot choc later for 2 syns, not sure yet!
Have a great day everyone, and good luck to anyone WI today.
P.S. MrsMc Your little lad is scrumptious! I've had 4 little boys of my own... all getting a bit too big for my liking nowbut being a mum is the best thing EVER!!!!
