    Morning!!

Good grief this post is flying!!

No Frogga - deffo not pregnant - just eating like a pregnant lady lol

My raffle is quite good - though I never win lol - examples are burger maker, saucepan, wee thing for poaching eggs, nice mug and options hot choc sachet. Its always a couple of wee things and normally there is one food item. There is sometimes flasks and things like that - useful things.

I am excited for WI on thurs as well - just to see where I am and if I've anything off! Really hoping for at least 2 lbs.

    Todays Menu

    B: Muller, Mango & Pineapple

L: Pasta & Sauce (0.5 pack) with red onion, red pepper & chicken

D: Other half of that pack with mushrooms, broccoli & chicken

    Lots of green tea

Re: the scales - I used to be getting on and off them all the time weighing myself and it ended up driving me mad! So now I don't even have them in the house and just wi at group on a thurs and that suits me better. I did find though that I was always heavier on a Monday than any other day of the week - must be after the weekend vices!!

Question for you all re Pasta & Sauce ?? Do you eat half a pack or a full pack? I know they are mostly free but I looked at the calories last night and changed my mind about having a whole pack for lunch today - eek naughty I know - wish they came in packets just for one!

I tend to split them into 2 and make them into a "meal" by bulking them out with meat & veggies. :D

    Morning all....

Had a good nights sleep last night so feeling a bit more human right now -lets see how long until I flag again :rotfl: -

Im planning a green day today so Im looking at:-

    • fruit
    • 500ml semi (2xhexA)
    • cottage cheese salad
    • fruit
    • cheese and onion "fryits" 1hexA +3syns
    • baked beans
That still leaves me my hexBs so might splash out and put extra cheese in the fry-its... if not I will figure a way to use it -guess I could "buy" some leftover roast chicken to use it up..we will see ;)

Becks -Yup I will post my recipes, some probably went on the old thread but I will pop them on as I do them in case they are of use to anyone.... my hubby is obsessed with Goan pork too :rotfl: I have the ingredients coming tonight to make a big batch for the freezer -well if hubby leaves it alone ;) he will happily eat it for several meals in a row if I let him.

Im toying with the idea of going back on line (only since I saw that code yesterday that makes the 3 month fee slightly less eye watering :T.) When I lost all my weight in Germany I started off on line and then did it on my own and I did well. We have a class right at the end of our street and I have joined a couple of times but it really doesn't work for me :(

ooh when I did on line before you get extra weeks free if you recommended someone -do they still do that ? if so does someone want to recommend me and claim the free weeks?
ooh and if I do join does anyone want my 2013 books?

I have to confess that I too am a "scale hopper" Im not exactly sure why as it doesn't make me eat any different if they are up or down one day -I guess its just habit now :o

Nessie -I never wanted an only child -but after waiting 9 years for Charlie and both me and hubby being "advanced" in years (42 me and hubby 50 in June:rotfl:) -I think we will be having just the little monkey we have right now -he is the main reason I need to get this weight back off as he is so full of energy we need to be able to keep up and enjoy time with him.
I would post a pic but I can't seem to do it..when I click the little pic box at the top it says copy url but then I can't find the url on my photos -any ideas anyone?
I would love to see a picture of your little girl..

Talking of babies -is there someone on here who is expecting? only I have some newborn clothes -unworn that they are welcome to if they can use them?

Right I had better get off and get something done... be back later
    have a lovely day everyone..

Something is amiss in the Mildredd household dd is still asleep :@ its 10am I am awake due to arranging someone to pick up an item :@ fuming

I scale hop and truthfully it doesn't help? My weight varies according to the time of day etc? So its not helpful at all. I'm sticking with my official weigh in day.

All the batchelors pasta n sauce and rices i split into 2? Then add like ham/chicken pickled onions/beetroot salad etc?
Started sw 02/09/13 - total loss so far -5st 1lb

Yes please Mildredd re Body Magic Chart.

I hop on the scales several times a day. Don't think it affects me one way or another really.

I'm 100% on it today - WI'd in this morning & that will be my last gain until next Christmas :D Total gain since 1 December = 12lbs :o Embarrassing but under 1 stone which I was expecting! :rotfl:

    B; fruit salad & yoghurt
L; chicken & leek pasta bake - I'm going to be eating this bloody thing until Easter! (2 syns max)
    D; 2 x sausages (1), 2 x egg, sw chips & mushrooms. Maybe some tomato's if I can find any.

Drinks; sparkling water with lemon squash, poss hot choc before bed (2)

Snacks; depends on what I need but hopefully fruit.

    C xx

i'm going to get on my treadmill tomorrow.. might be fun to do the body magic challenges on the SW site.. the first one is to walk around central park, 6.1 miles.. might be an incentive as it gets boring otherwise ;)

I wish it was the real Central Park, now that would be an incentive to get my ar*e in gear!:rotfl:

I NEVER weigh at home. I think I'd become obsessed if I did. DH and I threw out our old scales as they were gathering dust in the bathroom and we hated what they told us (pre-SW;)) and we've never replaced them. I do take a sneaky peek in other people's bathrooms sometimes though.:o

I've never eaten pasta & sauce but could you weigh out half a packet? I do this with dried soup for my DH.

I'm thinking I may go to the evening group tomorrow. It'll be a huge rush for me to get to my usual one on Thursday morning and I really have to draw a line somewhere. I need to know the Christmas damage to motivate me. Tonight I'm out for my regular (well 6 times a year) catch-up with some friends at a carvery. I don't want to drift back into bad habits.

Sorry for that ramble, but it helps if I try to talk some sense to myself.:)

Ramble all you like ! It keeps us sane :)
  • Good morning all - I start my (*whispers*) marathon training today...I think I already said that I'm a slow plodder but I can keep on going...I have finished 5 marathons..all around 5 and a half hours...I haven't done one for 3 years so I am quite unfit. I'll be building up slowly but surely. The heaviest I was running a marathon was 14.8 (what I am now) and it was too heavy, the lightest was 12.7 and it was much easier...so I know I've got to get this weight off!

I have the grandkids this afternoon so I'm not quite sure what food will be..will get that organised before they arrive (at 4.5 and 1.5 they keep me on my toes!!)

I had a better night's sleep last night...hopefully the tide has turned on that!!
  • Hi, still plodding along trying to make healthier choices with what I already have in before I join group tomorrow evening.
Found some potatoes, white cabbage& garlic so decided to make a soup. Threw some frozen cauliflower & broccoli florets & half a red chilli in. It was really nice for brunch! Followed it with a toffee muller light . Am I on the right track? I made it with a chicken stock cube but had no onion so didn't need to fry anything off, so no fat. Would this count as all free?
Could I asked how many syns are in a bar of oat so simple morning bars? I brought a couple of packs at the beginning of the year just to get off to a good start & as an easy snack on my work break but not sure if I should keep them for next week or let the kids at them?!
