MrsM to show a pic you need to upload a pic to somewhere like photo bucket & then copy the URL for the box (make sense?)

Here is Rebecca just before Xmas (was pic we used for Xmas cards!) I think if you click pic it might take u to my photo bucket page where I have a few other pics!

RE: scales from experience I can't get on more than once per week otherwise I kid myself that I can have an extra bit of choc cos scales said I have lost loads or get annoyed & not eat cos scales say I haven't lost - I couldn't weigh everyday & take average either - too much to think about - so much easier to weigh at group once a week!

Hi, still plodding along trying to make healthier choices with what I already have in before I join group tomorrow evening.
Found some potatoes, white cabbage& garlic so decided to make a soup. Threw some frozen cauliflower & broccoli florets & half a red chilli in. It was really nice for brunch! Followed it with a toffee muller light . Am I on the right track? I made it with a chicken stock cube but had no onion so didn't need to fry anything off, so no fat. Would this count as all free?
Could I asked how many syns are in a bar of oat so simple morning bars? I brought a couple of packs at the beginning of the year just to get off to a good start & as an easy snack on my work break but not sure if I should keep them for next week or let the kids at them?!
    ?

Yes soup all free - if you did need to fry off onions, then use Frylight & then it's still totally free.

Oat So Simple bars are 6.5 or 7 syns depending on flavour. Alpen Lights are a better bet ;) (3 syns each or 2 as a Healthy Extra B choice xx

    Today's menu:
B - melon, yogurt, cereal (HEB)
L - pasta salad with kidney & cannelini beans & lean ham - free, apple
D - lentil & bacon soup (free) & poss jacket with beans ?????

Snacks - tea (HEA, have actually measured out milk for day for a change :o), banana, grapes (possibly freeze some :D), apple

Syns - online access not sorted yet, can someone look up something please? Medium latte with a) skimmed and b) semi-skimmed milk. No syrup etc. Thanks. If too high I'll just have tea :rotfl:. Possibly Hi-fi bar, depending on latte :o, muller light Greek yogurt.

Hi GG, you've probably alreay had tea now but are you going for a C0sta or Starbucks? i'm guessing it's just the milk you're synning so it wouldn't be horrendous syns.

Good luck with all those lentils and beans today :rotfl:

I joined in 2011 weighing 21 stone and 5 foot 6. I lost 4 stone. People used to say I bet you feel great. I felt no happier or different or healthier. I've put it all back on. My mum and sister want me to rejoin but I cant afford it or the expensive food. (I aim for a quid a meal).

I really think I cant be bothered and I don't feel unhealthy or overweight.

WI today. 14 6.5 so -1.5lb. Little bit disappointed as a lot of people lose so much in the first week, but having said that - it's a loss so who care?! Must not get hung up on the numbers!!

Got a meeting later with a set menu. It's mushroom soup followed by beouf bourguignon and veg. I'm a bit stuck with it . . no idea how to do the Syns? Think I'll give the soup a miss if I can - just need to keep talking and hope no one notices. It will come with a roll and butter, so will try to avoid that too. Losing weight is fine until real life butts in!!

    Good luck all!

Check out a website called A Girl Called Jack - most of her recipes are under 50p per portion & with a few minor tweaks are SW friendly. I also make a chicken & leek pasta bake the other night for about £4.00 - it would easily serve 8! SW doesn't have to be expensive.

If you're not ready to do it, then don't, but remember it's when you get older your health may suffer. I'm not unhealthy at the moment, but we have a family history of cancer, parkinsons, arthritis & I know because of my weight I am likely to get diabetes (more luck than judgement that I haven't already). I want to see my daughter grow up, get married, have her own kids so that's my incentive.

Thing is I don't want to be here any longer. Im bored of everything. And yes I'm already dosed up on antidepressants. And even if I did have enough money to eat healthy I don't have a big enough kitchen to prepare food. Dirty pots are often stacked on the floor. My kitchen side is 1m wide. We are a family of 4.
