Goooooooooood Morning all
Well done on your loss Sugarhunny :T
Good luck to those returning to work today.....
xxJoanexx -Im starting off at 20st1lb - so I have about the same to lose too... it can be done -I started at over 26st last time and got down to around 13st ... so WE CAN DO IT -although I realise me saying that would have been more convincing had I kept the weight off :rotfl:. although in my defence *and god know I need one* I have let having my beautiful boy distract me. He is 21months now so I have no excuses I AM HERE TO THE BITTER END
Well Im going RED today and so it should look like this:-
- 1 oat so simple (hexAhexB+2syns)
- 500ml semi (2hexA)
- roast chicken
- runner beans
- carrots
- cauli
- roast chicken
- lettuce
- cucumber
- tomto
- celery
- peppers
- onion
For those of you with "gusty" issues I dare you to try the 12 speed soup ( appropriately known as trumpy soup in our house) -I love the stuff but dear lord it is dangerous stuff :rotfl:... wish I hadn't mentioned it now as I think I might have to make some this week
I have dug out some of my magazines and books and need to go on my old diary on minimins to copy my recipes down and print them off and then I MUST get a plan made :think:
Right I had better pop off for now but I will be back when I can (now there is a threat)
hope everyone has a good day-6 -8 -3 -1.5 -2.5 -3 -1.5-3.50 -
Well done on the loss Sugarhunny, long may it continue.
Wow lantanna, losing 4 1/2 stone already, how do you keep motivated?
I am experimenting to see if mixing the plans up a bit will keep me going and interested without cheating and still get a decent weight loss. Yesterday was a red day, today I am trying EE.
Anyone mix and match and finding that you still get a good weightloss?
today's menu:
porridge (HEb) made with water, banana, pinch of cinnamon, tsp honey (1 syn)
tuna salad
pasta bake (left over chicken from last night) homemade sauce chopped tomatoes, onion, mixed veg and cheese on top (HEa) Activia 0% yoghurt
snacks will be fruit: Mango, baked crisps (5syns) maybe some crackers that I will syn, not sure yet0 -
Morning all,
I am going to have to find a way of getting online at the weekends as I can't keep up with you lot - you don't half chat
Good luck with the challenge everyone - nice to see skintcatt & shala back. Welcome to any newbies that have appeared over the weekend - I will try and catch up with all the posts a bit later.
My first WI this morning and I was -1lb. I am now right at the bottom end of my target weight range again :j.
Have a great day everone0 -

Weighed myself yesterday and got the shock of my life, to embarrassed to put my weight on here but have over 10st to lose does anyone else have around that amount? It just seems like a impossible task but u suppose I didn't get to this size overnight so won't loose it overnight.
Does anyone have a underactive thyroid? Does this make any diffrence to weight loss
Is this years book much different from last years found that in a drawer but was thinking of joining online so can check syns and he's x
Don't know if there will be a new book for 2014 but the changes were pretty minimal over the last couple of years. Some were positive (slight increase in some HEX allowances) and others not (WW bread went from 3 slices to 2). If you need to check syns just ask.
I don't know for a fact about underactive thyroid but I have a SIL who definitely uses it as an excuse for being overweight. She tells me she eats healthily but conveniently forgets all the biscuits and cakes I see her eating and I've never been on a car journey with her without she brings a bag of sweets!Does anyone have any wi rituals?
I always wear a thin Tshirt (lately its been the same one sorry if anyone thinks I'm a scruff at my group but hey ho) and the same style of jeans?

My WI is at 9.15 but I still have my breakfast as normal although loads are eating in class. I just try to have my lightest breakfast on WI day (Shreddies). I wore the same trousers and top to WI for months and months until the trousers were virtually falling off.:rotfl:
I think what really matters is that you try to do similar things every week so you're comparing like with like as far as possible.
Today will be the most 'on plan' day since before the holiday:
B: NAS Ribena, 2 boiled eggs, HEB toast, HEA milk for teas
L: Satsumas and cold roast potatoes and maybe banana (basically will pick at stuff until early supper)cold ham, new potatoes, cauli&broccoli cheese
Syns: cheese sauce0 -

Think I'd just reached that stage where I was fed up being fat and not being able to wear nice clothes and feeling different to everyone else. Once I started to loose I felt that I could do it and that I wanted to get somewhere where I had never been before - SLIM!!
It does become routine to you after a while - eating the SW way. Its so worth sticking too to feel so much better about yourself. I think that the first week is the worst and once you get that over you your flying.0 -
Hooray!! I've finally caught up on the thread! *lies down* - I also don't get on the computer over the weekend so it looks like I'll have a major read on a Monday morning to do!!
I've been on plan all weekend (did anyone see a blue moon in the sky!!) and am still on the wagon (I really could have gone for a big cold glass of white wine yesterday with lunch...instead I just had a little *whine* and didn't bother)
I'm trying to get my head round eating 3 squares a day and snacks (coming from a history of eating disorder...mostly binging and purging...this is why when I tried the 5:2 diet all sorts of demons arose!!)
I've been keeping a diary of my food so I'm keeping accountable and the only thing really missing are syns...I guess I'm coming from a place where a diet has to be a strict/regimented/hard thing...I'm kinda worried about weigh in as I'm eating more food than I normally would...I guess it's just the RIGHT food!
I spent some time on Sunday and made batches of soup for the week (the dyno-rod one...thankfully I have no trumping issues lol...just the opposite...a lazy bowel here...I'm hoping it keeps me regular!
Food today:
B: Yog and mandarins
L: HM soup and sandwich (2x wholemeal slices HEXa with ham and cheese HEXb with loads of salad...1 tbs extra light salad cream...1 syn??)I'm thinking the mushroom stroganoff out of the new book - so 1 syn
S: more yogs and maybe some fruit.
Anyone know about chia seeds...we normally take a couple of teaspoons a day for health (and regularity!!) I don't know the values of them.
Have a great WI anyone on the scales!!0
