Hi can I join going to start the weds after I do big shop Tuesday.

Weighed myself yesterday and got the shock of my life, to embarrassed to put my weight on here but have over 10st to lose does anyone else have around that amount? It just seems like a impossible task but u suppose I didn't get to this size overnight so won't loose it overnight.

Does anyone have a underactive thyroid? Does this make any diffrence to weight loss

Is this years book much different from last years found that in a drawer but was thinking of joining online so can check syns and he's x

    Morning All,

First day back to work today so fed up already. Like Mr Frog said though, you only appreciate time off if you've been hard at work, so I'm looking forward to getting through the next 6 weeks and then 1/2 term :D

I struggled BigTime last night. In the evening Mr Frog sat next to me eating Cheese and Crackers, then cereal, then chocolate Brazil Nuts, then the Quality Streets  I really wanted all of that.

I also had a moan to my friend that it feels like we both ate the same over Christmas, but when I put on 2 stone, he lost 1lb  But when I was thinking about it, I think it feels like we eat the same amount, but we didn't really. He doesn't think about food ALL THE TIME like me, it's of no importance at all, he eats whet he wants when he wants. There were several days when he was busy doing stuff in the garage that he didn't eat all day, then ate loads in the evening. So I guess a days worth then?

Anyway, I ate half a Melon. Was initially cross as I was saving it for Tuesdays Breakfast, but it was better than blowing the plan. I'm glad I resisted now.

Right, go to go, work calls, have a great Monday people. In just 6 weeks time we could all be much happier, I shall cling to that when munching on my carrots today ;)

    :D

    Hi Joanne
I have about 10 stone to lose, maybe a bit more and it's daunting thinking about such a long journey but just take it one week and one lb at a time. That's why I'm choosing SW again cause it's less of a faddy diet and easier to stick to long term. We can do this!!
  • Well..... I'd like a drumroll please. End of my first week on plan and I have lost 4.5lb!!!! Ever so pleased, I realise most of this is water but it's a fabby start to what I hope is long term.

First day back at work today so spent most of yesterday batch cooking so. Have soup, mince etc all cooked.

    Today's menu:

B: malted wheaties and a banana
L: soup, muller light with berries and an apple
T: stir fry (it's easy to throw together) but need to get some meat to throw in it.

Have a good day! I'm going to miss just being able to pop in for a read :-(

I want to lose 7 stone and have lost 4 & 7 stone of it.

When I started I thought there was no way I was going to lose it. But if you break it down into manageable targets you '' ll get there. I have set myself mini targets like being a dress size lower - fitting into a particular pair of jeans - I find it easier than thinking of the end goal. So yes you can do it :)

Well done Sugarhunney, Frogga I know the feeling lol.

I had been doing so well all weekend and then last night out of boredom I think I fell into a jar of Nutella. Had about 6 big teaspoons - not good.

But sure its done and dusted and I have 3 full days to be very good and pull back for a loss on Thursday.

    Todays Menu:

B: Muller, pineapple, mango & melon

    L: Chicken Noodle Stirfry & 2 Mandarins

    D: Haven't a clue yet ! lol

Back on plan properly from today! I haven't got much fruit & veg in so probably a bit low on superfrees but as I'm in target range (just!) I'm not too concerned but would obviously like to lose a bit between now and Thursday morning WI.

Menu today as far as I've got:

B - Egg, baked beans & mushrooms (would have bacon usually with it but haven't got any yet!)
L - WM bread sandwich (bought in France and they're huge slices - 2 slices are 90g so HEB + 3 syns) spread with lighter than light mayo, ham, jarred roasted peppers. Will also have some pickled onions & cornichons on the side to up the SFs a bit.
D - Beef bourgiguon cooked with shallots, red onions, mushrooms. Will have with mashed potato & some frozen veg (depends what's left in there!). No syns in this as just use stock not gravy to cook. If it isn't thick enough then I will thicken it with some sauce flour (2 syns).

Only got a peach in at the moment so that will be the only fruit I can have today.

Things will be better once I can go shopping tomorrow and top up the fruit bowl and get some veg.

I had roughly 6 stone to lose just to make me be classed as 'healthy' bmi wise? I may want to lose more but I went for a normal bmi?
I've lost 3 and a bit now. At the start I set myself a challenge of looking better than I did by the time my daughter got christened? I dropped 2 top sizes and 1 trouser in that month? Then I said I wanted to be 2 jeans smaller for Xmas? And I was?
I'm struggling a bit atm with getting back into it after Xmas n ny?
But today's a new day - new wi and ill sit n think in a bit.
My next target will prob be for my dds birthday n may involve skinny jeans eep!!!

The half stone stickers keep me motivated but I am enjoying the personal sense of pride as I am starting to look a lot different and I am happier and more confident when in public with my dd? Xxx
Started sw 02/09/13 - total loss so far -5st 1lb

First WI of the new year tonight. 6pm feels like ages away, I'd rather just get it over and done with. Had a gain of 2.5lb over Christmas, and have been super on-plan, but really not feeling the difference this week.

Does anyone else who has an evening WI feel like not eating all day to hopefully keep your body lighter? Trouble with doing that (yes, I've done it) is that when staying to group my tummy grumbles so much, that I have to take snacks with me, and then spend the whole time filling my face! Doesn't look great, especially if your loss hasn't been spectacular that week, and it comes to your turn to discuss it with the consultant. Well I've put on small knickers to lessen the weight, so that's a start, right?

Anyway, planning food ahead, and will have my dinner in the oven ready to eat for when I get home after group.

    Today's Food : Green Day
    B - porridge x 2 (HExB 1&2), with water & part of milk for day (HExA 1). Sweetener & 1 tsp sugar 1 syn
L - Super Rice, with added veggies: leeks, cabbage, mushrooms, onions.
snack: apple, Muller Greek yogurt 1/2 syn
D - Jacket potato, 40g low fat cheddar (HExA 2), mixed baked beans, salad, fat free dressing 1 syn, ketchup 1 syn
    Snack : banana, satsuma
    Total syns : 3 1/2

That leaves plenty of syns free in case I feel like a hot chocolate later on, or a biscuit with my cuppa in the evening.

I've seen 2 posts on a SW facebook page in the past day asking for help with trying to stop trumping so much. Looks like we're not alone in our gassy problems. I presume it's just a cumulative effect of all the fruit & veg, plus pulses. Does anyone have any particular triggers for them? Mine are definitely onions, peppers and peas, so I try to limit those where I can.

For those back to work today, I hope it goes OK. One son back in school today here, but still got another home until tomorrow. Have a great Monday!
