See one of my problems as well is as I am such a tight budget I cant just buy the low syn versions of things.
I have to weigh up weight loss with the shopping bill.
Anyone else got a similar problem?

    Hi Beanie

We're on a tight one too....not sure if you have a Sainsbury's near you but their extra lean minced beef is in with their 3 for £10 deal. And I think their sausages very often are also on 2 for £3. Also they have salmon, braising steak and chicken breasts in the 3 for £10....They have other things too but I do not buy them so cant remember.

Hope this helps and good luck.

  • I'm the same as you beanielou, I shop around for the bargains and try and make sensible choices as with 3 kids it's not easy to juggle the pennies! X

A friend of mine has taken to eating here with me 3 or 4 nights out of 7and he went to Sainsburys and got lots of lean mince and sausages as his contribution. He's trying to lose weight too so doing it together.

Big weigh in for me tomorrow morning, nervous but excited! :-)

    Any ideas?

Know your not supposed to have smoothies etc on SW, idea being that u might eat an apple and an orange but not several of each.

Do you think it would be ok is I only used 1 banana, fat free nat yog and oats?

It's my birthday 5th April which my hubbie informs me is 13 weeks off. My plan and hope is to lose a stone by then.

I am hoping that even with the limited amount of exercise I can do, this must be 'doable'?

Have you done a like for like check at a few local butchers? It's usually cheaper if you buy the meat packs from butchers than buying from supermarkets in my experience and the meat always seems much nicer.
