I don't eat many sausages, when I do I get the Tesco Cumberland.. have changed from 1/2 a syn to 1 now.. might get some of the Sainsburys ones to try..

Pre SW I used to get the Richmond Irish ones.. cooked a couple for the chaps I support at work recently and couldn't believe the fat that came off them.. put me right off :)

Hi another new member here and i would like to think i will still be here at the end of 2014 and not drop away when the going gets tough. I struggle with going to group - i can not abide all of the inane clapping..

Same here, I hate the talk format & all the clapping on cue.
I much prefer WWs group educational/motivation talk.
I also dislike the way if you buy a countdown & need to book a weeks hol after, you can't. There is no way with the tech we have now, this is not possible, it feels like SW are milking it slightly.
I bet people would love it if SW moved to a monthly DD scheme. I know they would pay the full wack, but it seems more "honest" than saying hols during countdowns must always be booked in advance & you can't book a hol once you've bought it.

The forced clapping & sitting there for 1 hour, to get 2 mins of interaction puts me off going back.
  • Hi everyone, is there room for one more please? I didn't even know there was a SW thread on here until Pooh mentioned it (cheers Pooh!).

I've been following the green Plan (veggie) since 2000 and lost 5 stone 1lb in a year to get to target of 10st 11lbs. I'm the weigh in lady at my class so I always go, but recent life events (having children, DH having an accident that caused severe brain injury and lots of subsequent problems, several miscarriages etc etc) and lots of comfort eating meant I found myself all the way up at 18st 6.5lbs in September :(. I'm 5"9 and was pushing out of size 18's so I had a word with myself and I've lost 20.5lbs in the 12 weeks since then (it was 21.5lbs but gained a pound over Christmas). At my smallest I was a 12 (GG bust didn't shrink so 10's wouldn't fit!!) and I'd love to get back there again. I'm comfy in my 18's having lost the stone and a half but I can't wait to start dropping through the sizes.

I'd like to join the PLMBL 14lbs by Feb 14th Challenge please. I weigh in on Tuesdays so days are 7th, 14th, 21st, 28th Jan and 4th and 11th Feb.

Re the conversation above around magic porridge etc, I make rice pud my cooking the rice in sugar free cream soda on the hob until the pop evaporates. When it cools (or the next day) I mix it with yogurt to make a muller rice/porridge type affair.

posted these on the old thread but might be of use as a refresher ]

Thats brilliant, but I'm having trouble working out which minces are free because the pics are small.
Would it be possible to list just the free ones please.

Breakfast - Muller light greek style yogurt and an apple

Dinner - Homemade smoked mackerel pate (2 syns the lot, had about half) with carrot sticks and celery sticks and two slices plain wholemeal toast (HEXB).

Tea - Left over hash and broccoli.

Had four of Top Boy's maltesers watching a DVD before that I've counted as a syn.

Going to have a hot chocolate (2 syns) later with some wotsits or quavers.

Turkey and <5% fat minced beef are free.

I've saved the photos of sausages, bread and mince to my PC so I can view them fullsize.

they are hard to make out the text.. but think its basically any that is extra lean - less than 5% fat that is free..

across the top of that pic think its asda (turkey breast) > sainsburys (turkey breast) > aldi (turkey) > sainsburys (pork) > Tesco (pork)

extra lean beef < 5% fat

Hi all. Feeling less bloated today than last week so hoping for a good loss on thurs. Had a cooked brekkie, grapes and cheese strings for a snack. Dinner will be sw chips and chicken salad. I have to say I stay to group every week and whist I dont enjoy the clapping either I do find it motivates me for the week ahead.

I had the same problem but then realised you can see the pictures of the pigs and turkeys on them!:rotfl:

After reading it on here I had savoury rice with salad bits chopped in for my lunch. Yummy! Does anyone make their own savoury rice. I thought maybe it could be microwaved in stock/tomato puree and bits added??
