Hi All
Just to let you know I haven't deserted this thread, I've been in bed most of the week-end with the most ghastly cold
I weighed in on Thursday evening and I'd lost 2lbs which I'm O.K. with, considering it was only 6 days since last weigh in and I pigged out over christmas.
I've tried to stay on plan these past 3 days that I've been poorly but frankly, my need to get well outweighs my need to show a loss on Thursday so I've eaten more or less what I fancied, when I fancied it. On the plus side there is no junk in the house now so I may have overdone the bread e.t.c. but no carp so hopefully the damage won't be too bad.
On the plus side the trampoline arrived at last:j:j:j
On the minus side, I've felt too ill to put it together
I haven't caught up on the whole thread yet so I hope everyone is o.k. and hugs for those that need them.
Forgive any bad typo's but I've lost my computer specs0 -
Just nearing the end of my first week. Been on holiday for the past five days but decided to rejoin last week in a bid to eat healthily whilst away. I'm really proud of myself for sticking to plan whilst being away. Time will tell tomorrow evening.....Determined to save and not squander!

Blimey you lot can talk! I sign off for a couple of days and there is 10 pages to catch up on
So today was the first day on plan... it didn't exactly go great. Had 2 ryvita, laughing cow and an alpen light for brunch. Then made a roast dinner which was all fine except I had 2 yorkshire puddingsThen OH decided he was hungry and got the choc christmas decs out, along with a box of unopened chocolates so I've just finished the first tray! (Am putting the rest back in the cupboard to pass on to a friend if she visits tomorrow).
However, I haven't had any alcohol for the second day in a row after drinking something every day since christmas eve. And I have just arranged to go to boot camp tomorrow with someone so that'll get me started on the right track. WI isn't until Wednesday so a couple of days to get some damage limitation in.
Can I please join the challenge? I haven't found the original post but I am guessing it's a mini target for Valentines Day? I am on an all-inclusive holiday 1-8 February so that's bad timing! Will settle for a small target....

See one of my problems as well is as I am such a tight budget I cant just buy the low syn versions of things.
I have to weigh up weight loss with the shopping bill.
Anyone else got a similar problem?
We aren't on a super tight budget but I still struggle with it. I need to make meals go further and freeze more leftovers!Became Mrs Scotland 16.01.16Became homeowners 26.02.16

Same here, I hate the talk format & all the clapping on cue.
I much prefer WWs group educational/motivation talk.
I also dislike the way if you buy a countdown & need to book a weeks hol after, you can't. There is no way with the tech we have now, this is not possible, it feels like SW are milking it slightly.
I bet people would love it if SW moved to a monthly DD scheme. I know they would pay the full wack, but it seems more "honest" than saying hols during countdowns must always be booked in advance & you can't book a hol once you've bought it.
The forced clapping & sitting there for 1 hour, to get 2 mins of interaction puts me off going back.
I agree with this too, part of the reason I don't stay to group after WI. My old consultant was fab, yes there was clapping but she also had a chosen subject each week that she would talk about and encourage ideas/inspiration. If a lot of people stay, which I imagine in January a lot do, I can't see there being enough time for anything other than clapping.... I can clap for myself at home!:rotfl:Became Mrs Scotland 16.01.16Became homeowners 26.02.16
