Flip no lol - if I can shift this gut I'll be happy! Just booked in for Kettle Bells on Monday night & Step Aerobics Tuesday night. Will be taking it easy til I get into the swing of it! Want to be slinky not like Jodie Marsh lol!! Will be very interested to see if it affects my weight loss!!

That's not too bad at all - would be worth working out the syns - just so you know! Mind you I remember being alarmed at a milky way's syns though for something that is meant to be a lighter choice!! Hateful when you don't even feel like you enjoyed it. But sure done and out of the way now! Keeps us sane every so often!

I always wore heels - I had a pair on a few weeks ago and danced the whole night in them - the week before I started SW was the last time I had them on and I could barely stand in them for more than 5 mins - you'll be surprised!

I'm going to have to buy insoles though for a lot of shoes as all of a sudden my feet seem to have gone down a size! Has anyone else found this? I've heard of it happening to people after a stone or so but it has taken me 5 stone to go down one size!!

Well done shala - that was less than you thought and you can easily claw that back this week :T

I am definitely up for the challenge - I don't mind when we start it.

Lantanna - congratulations on plucking up the courage to go to the gym - it can be very daunting going on your own :T. Hope your gum pain gets better soon.

  • Morning all - it's snowy and sleety and wet and cold here...2 cancellations at work so far today. humphh...

I'm wondering if I'm eating enough...I'll make sure to get my menus done here...and I really don't have any (many) syns if I don't drink alcohol and as I'm mostly off it I probably should look at getting some more in (eg...syns for the whole of yesterday were 2 tsps of cornflour to thicken a chicken casserole that fed four of us)

The family want macaroni cheese with bacon for tea so I'll have to figure out something else for me...this is the plan so far...

B: 2 x boiled eggs, ML and some fruit
L: 2 x WW bread, wafer thin ham and 40g half fat cheddar
    D: I'm thinking a fritatta with salad...not sure

Any help on this would be helpful.

Well done on starting the plan before you even get the books.

I suggest that you have something ready to just bung in the microwave when you get in from work or have something like a ready made salad and ham, chicken drumsticks etc in the fridge which you can just grab.

Another useful thing to have in the fridge is a fritatta or quiche full of SuperFree foods which you can just keep going back too if you get the munchies.

    HTH.

    Denise

I agree completely with that. Geeves, when I first started SW I used to feel hungry late at night. I probably wasn't genuinely hungry but just had an attack of munchies from habit. Don't let yourself eat rubbish!! I often used to make a JP with cottage cheese and beetroot but having things to hand like denise says is an even better idea.

I'd be the same - I'd prob have about 10 syns if it wasn't for the weekend alcohol lol

Same here.:o I could even take up crisps as a hobby if I didn't drink!:rotfl:

    Back in a moment.

lantanna, I'm another that have shrunken feet as a NSV from SW! Probably not enough to drop a size but enough to make some existing pairs sloppy (the ones that my weight had forced to spread) and new ones a lot more comfortable. I now wear heels loads more than I used to. Although to be very specific I've gone back to wearing heels more like I used to before I put the weight on. Happy Days!

I think you'll definitely get toned and fit from the gym. If you lose anything then that's an added bonus.

I agree that 1.5lbs is a good average weightloss. That's what mine was and took into account some good losses, some STS and also plenty of gains through holidays off plan. So PLMBL, you're doing well.

MrsR, I'm yet another that has done OU. Mine was back in the dark ages when you had to get up/stay up at silly o'clock to watch TV programmes but I did enjoy it and went on to do more. I did some literature (mostly DH Lawrence IIRC). I'd love to know which books you're reading. All I seem to read now is chick lit.:o I went to Jane Austen's house on Sunday and was ashamed at how little I remember from reading her books. probably nothing if it wasn't for Colin Firth and his wet shirt!

mildredd, I add mushrooms to my Spag Bol as well as all the other SF mentioned. I enjoy it so much now with all the veg, I wouldn't want to make it any other way.

Great loss for you MrsM and :T on the decorating. Shala, you must celebrate that tiny gain. It could have been so much worse and I'm really pleased you are back with us 'officially'.

It's wet and blowing a gale here.:(

I agree you're not eating much. If you've never snacked then I'm not encouraging you but if you're depriving yourself because you think you're on a 'diet' then you should definitely eat more. If you're not a great snacker then keep adding things to family meals like cornflour or cheese or other synful sauces (such as honey or sherry or wine mixes). I banned most of these when I was getting to target and it's been a joy to reintroduce them. Another tip is to have a treat when you're out. So rather than keep cake indoors to tempt you have a slice when you're out at a coffee shop. I occasionally have a pasty when I'm out as I don't have a sweet tooth.

For a menu like today, I'd suggest you had a proper sandwich (2 large slices of bread, I HEB and 1 synned at 6?). Then you could have the macaroni cheese with the family as you've loads of syns to spare but have a salad with it to keep up the SFs.

    HTH

My own EE menu for today:

B: NAS Ribena, HEB toast, fried egg, HEA milk for teas
L: ham with bubble & squeak and pickles
D: chicken jumblalaya (onions, peppers, courgettes, peas, carrots, tomatoes).
Snacks: will definitely finish the frittata
Syns: squirt of sauce, maybe a frankfurter sliced into jumbalaya

    Sorry to hog the thread.:o
