At the mo my life is getting in the way a bit of sw and that's okay because even when I'm being what I class as bad at the back of my mind I'm still counting and being restrained whereas previously it would have been eat the box in one go eat a multipack of crisps etc?

    Maybe I'm a weirdo though

    Today's food plan
Breakfast - 2 clems an apple
Lunch - tuna pasta I think - so ltl Mayo syns - will split and have half tomorrow though
Dinner - sw hotpot with broccoli and cauliflower

So I have syns to use as and when as well as my hexs
Love having days where I feel organised
(Even if we did oversleep and miss our playgroup lol)

I sometimes struggle with a 2nd HEB when I do Green days but usually just have a couple of Alpen Lights or some crispbreads and syn a bit of butter. I usually only have 1 HEA unless I'm doing something like cauliflower cheese and then I'll make a proper cheese sauce rather than a SW one which I don't like at all.

Mrs Ryan – Could you get your dress taken in if need be? Maybe an option, instead of stressing about it? ]

    Hi lantanna
It already needs a lot of work on it- it's already going to have to be taken in at the bust and the waist and shortened slightly. I'm aware of the more work it needs the more it will cost and I'm really trying to keep the adjustments down now :( as it stands ive had a quote for £30-40 for everything that needs doing and I can't afford any more and neither can I afford a new dress :( it's quite a big 18 and I'm into a 16 so if I drop to a 14 (not impossible) I would likely have to buy a new dress which I really can't afford to do :( I'm happy with my loss for now though and my consultant is really helpful and understanding about it- we've got a few getting married with similar issues so it's not just me!

  • Afternoon all - I've not read back as I've been away for work for the weekend and only back today so I realise that it'd take too long!! I hope you are all well!

I had a STS for the challenge weigh in - again very frustrating as I did run a 10 mile long run last week and TWELVE MILES on Saturday past...I realise that I am more than likely losing fat (and my rings are falling off me!!) so I'll not get too stressed about the "weight" part.

I'm back on the wagon after a winey weekend (much enjoyed by the way) I stuck to SW as much as I could and I feel I did well enough...I'd love to have the last couple of pounds off before Friday but we'll see and I'll not stress - as we've all agreed - this is for the long haul.

(((Hugs to those who need any!!)))

Mrslady and Mrsryan - good losses too :T

Well i'm really fed up today and trying deparately not to stuff my face :( tried for an early night last night but between OH snoring and the cat annoying me I only managed a few hours. I'm so tired and I have raging PMT! Get your violins out... :D

I've definitely put on this week too (WI tomorrow) so i'm having the internal arguement "well i may as well eat nice things today as i've put on anyway and then i'll start again tomorrow" anyone else have that...

I've already had a cadburys finger, choc digestive and one starburst.. (i know thats not loads but it's a slippery slope!!)

signed, fed up and frumpy x

If you're trying for a Red day again, assuming your soup is all SFs and no carbs. You can have 35g (dry weight) of wholemeal spaghetti as a HEB or 25g of ordinary, dried pasta is 4.5 syns.

good idea maman, thank you! I have made it a red day, never had time to make the soup anyway, so had turkey breast with salad, I fried it and some mushrooms in the new Frylight garlic, it was really nice. Also had a kiwi. I will syn the spaghetti as it's not wholemeal.

I have been diagnosed with anaemia, not sure the reason why yet, still under investigation, so am trying to eat green leafy things and red meat as suggested by my GP. After my second blood test results come back I think I am getting some iron tablets prescribed.

I also bought the Amaretto flavoured coffee from Sainsb today, it's a nice change.

Picked up my new slowcooker from Sainsb, it was on sale online. It's huge (6.5l) so now have 3 packets of extra lean mince, onions, passata, peppers, grated carrot, herbs, stock, garlic. That should make a few meals for the freezer :D
  • Mumoftwo if you do get prescribed iron tablets, ask the pharmacist if there is a cheaper alternative. The ones I was prescribed were just £2 or so to buy over the counter! Much cheaper than paying prescription prices :)
