2lb loss for me this week 2a

Not quite the 14 over the challenge that I set myself, but I have lost 16.2 lbs since I started just before Christmas, and yesterday I had no option to buy new jeans as the ones I put on were literally falling off me. I didn't want to spend much money, as this is just a temporary size, so I went for £14 jeans. They went through the till at £10.50. Happy days!

Can I join you lovely people? I rejoined SW on 4th Jan and I've lost 14.5lbs so far.

I also found out I'm pregnant last week so now can have 2 extra healthy extras :D .

    Congratulations!

Sary – Those pizza slices are just pure scary when they ambush you!! Lol It’s a Chinese that generally comes chasing me!! Life definitely gets in the way some times – but just keep battling on. It is a lifestyle change after all isn’t it, I suppose the old us would have just gave up - but here we are fighting on. I’m a firm believer of the 90 % / 10 % rule. J
HelenDaveKids – I only allow myself alcohol on a Friday / Saturday night now as well and it works for me! Occasionally a Sunday – if there is any left over! I feel so much better now as well that I have cut back on my unit intake – it can really creep up without noticing! Well done on your loss!
Topgirl - that menu looks a bit scant for yesterday!!
Laura8417 – welcome and vent all you like J. How much do you want to lose? I’ve a stone and a half to shift before July.
Sukeyboo – I wouldn’t necessarily go totally off plan at the weekend but would definitely allow yourself some treats. I tend to have one meal off plan at the weekends and a few treats such as alcohol / crisps etc but don’t go totally mad the whole weekend as if I did I definitely wouldn’t lose. I then really try to pull it back during the week. You can use your syns to plan for weekend treats. Stick at it - don’t give up.
Well done Trow – so know what you mean about a temporary size! I’m so sick of buying clothes and clothes not fitting me for very long – still I guess it’s the only negative for me losing weight!! I really need to motivate myself to get my bigger clothes on ebay. I think I said before that since the government is “that concerned” about obesity - there should be some sort of clothing incentive for people losing weight – such as money for clothes or tax relief of some sort – personally think this would be far more effective than the advertising and preaching we are subjected to at the minute! Also subsidised fruit and veg or a cap on prices!
Its star week this week so who knows how this will affect the scales on Thursday as its become very unpredictable. Going to up the fluids in the hope of debloating. Really have to force myself to do this as I just keep forgetting! Need to get back out and buy some more green – pennies very tight this month so have to meal plan very carefully. Wish peas were superfree as I have a cupboard full of them!!
Good luck to anyone weighing in today!
    Today’s Menu
    B: WW Yogurt & 2 Kiwis
L: Extra Lean Mince Spagetti with Passata, Mushrooms, Courgette, Pepper, & Salad – Lettuce, Jalepenos, Gherkins, Sweetcorn, Peas, red onion, 25g Pasta & HE Laughing Cow Light
D: Noodles, Mushrooms, Onion, Brocoli, Sugar snap peas, pepper, chicken, soy sauce
    Snacks: 2 x Mandarins & maybe melon
Aiming for a no syn day but will see what happens! Anytime from 7pm onwards is danger time lol
  • Morning All!

Happy Monday! Seriously struggling to keep up with everyones posts at the moment.

If anyone hasn't tried the Pulled Porked, I really recommend it, I made it yesterday for my boyfriend and his 2 best friends, was soo good!

I'm thinking about mixing my plan up a bit as I usually just do EE. Has anyone had any good losses by doing a week of red days?

    Thanks,

    xx

I often mix up my days but haven't done a whole week of Red days. In fact I don't do red days very often at all because it tends to work out much more expensive than Green days, so I don't usually have more than 1 or maybe 2 Red days in a week.

I tend to do EE at weekends as it's much easier to meal plan for myself and DH.

Mixing it up certainly seems to help with weight loss.

Can't comment on whether Red days bring good losses but shaking up which plan you follow is often recommended as is a varied menu or a few days of Success Express. I think the body can get 'immune' to a system if it doesn't change ever (no scientific evidence just my theory;)).

I succumbed to a bowl of crisps last night. Cross with myself as I was hoping to stay on plan completely but very few left now and hopefully DH will eat them!

    EE plan for today:

B: NAS Ribena, HEB toast, scrambled eggs
L: fruit or bubble & squeak with pickles
D: lamb hot pot (onions, potatoes, leeks, carrots, celery) with cauli and broccoli

Syns: squirt of sauce and may add some cornflour to hotpot

sorry peeps, we have not had electricity since Saturday, so had limited access on my 3G on my phone, had to preserve the little charge I had ;). We have emergency power for about 20 minutes before we get a new circuitboard fitted and the power will be off for 3 hours or more.

I have tried to eat sensibly but didn't have cooker or heat or anything, so had take away on Saturday, ate some rolls on Sunday and bought cooked chicken and salad for last nights meal. I had another roll this morning, hopefully I haven't done too much damage. I am really :mad: cause I was doing so well this week, wanted to get my 5 1/2 lb off for the challenge, but at least I haven't gone totally crazy, have tried to stay in control.

I can't wait to catch up with all the posts tonight,

    Morning all!!

WI today and a STS. Not surprised as I was naughty on Friday and kind of thought "what the h*ll" after that - although the Syn free muffins ended up in the bin, they really were vile!

Must be strict with myself as we are away this weekend for a friends birthday. Overnight stay and a day out on Sunday means good choices will have to be made when eating out.

    Meal plan for today:

B - grapefruit, ff greek yoghurt and a cup of herbal tea
    S - pear
L - mug shot (tend to have these at work as quick and easy), grapes, orange, ff yoghurt, herbal tea
D - left over SW quiche with jacket spud and salad

    HEA - milk in coffee
HEB - Special K Cereal Bar

The fact there are crisps left would be a win in this house:rotfl:well done for not eating them all!

Well turns out i'm no longer going out this evening so i should be able to be relatively healthy.. bit annoyed because i'd have had a red day if i'd have known before i come to work.. never mind

    B - porridge, nutella (4)
L - spaghetti hoops on toast (heb)
T - chicken tikka, salad, coleslaw, mint yogurt, maybe a bit of rice, poppadum (1) mango chutney (2?)
S - banana, milk in tea (hea)

So a bit light on superfrees through the day but hope to make that up a bit for tea. Didn't plan that well as i thought i was going out anyway!
    Mortgage amount at 31/12/2011 £166,050 now £0 as at Sept 21 - 15yrs 4 months early.

Been away for the weekend and had a lovely time, but totally off plan! Hoping I may have restricted the gain, or even STS, but we'll see in the morning. Back on the case today, but have had cake, sandwiches, shortbread, crisps etc. Dear friend treated me to a posh afternoon tea - scotch pancake, scone (cream, jam . . . ) and not one but 2 glasses of fizz. I decided to simply enjoy it, in the knowledge that mine will be a scenic route to target!!

Hope everyone else doing well, and feeling motivated!
