  • 2b-1lb on for me this week  im gutted.

I could feel my motivation slipping this week, and little things like having the 2 fingers of KitKat instead of just the 1 also i feel like im eating to much fruit, so going to cut back next week and replace it with more veg. Missed 2 sessions at the gym and not drunk as much water either. So there you go, i know were ive gone wrong this week and plan to do better next week.

Well done to all you losers, Hope everyone has a great weekend.
My mind tends to wander............If found please return;)

  • :(Think I've identified one of my downfalls... cashew nuts. Have been eating on a fri / sat night as a treat and not counting... ooopps. Plus eating whole bag 125g as "small", thought its healthy nuttiness would be free.:wall:

Fortunately nuts are about the only food I can have a few of and then get bored of quickly and stop. But I think a 'small' bag of cashews is akin to a 'small' piece of cake and I'll take the cake please!!
  • I wish Geeves, Its 160kcal for 1/5 of the bag... i've been eating the whole bag... so is that 40 syns?

Have folded bag back up and moved away with head hanging...

I've bought a starter pack and food directory from ebay, was about £30 for the two which is what I expected.

I've spent the evening going through various forums and stuff, so I think I've got the hang of the changes with regards to the extra easy plan they do now. (this didn't exist when I was on plan).

Am I right in that on extra easy you only get one 'a' and one 'b' choice, not the two that you got with the red/green days? The weights/measures seem to be the same - 250ml s/skimmed milk and 28g cheese (although seem to remember feta having a higher portion size?).

Do they not really recommend the red/green days anymore? If you do still want to do them, can you mix between the three over the week or do they suggest sticking to either extra easy or the older red/green?

I've found out my syn values for all of the cooking extras oil, dressing etc as I tend to use them for these things rather than treats.

I don't drink that often, certainly not every week and know my syn values for red wine.

I have to go cold turkey on cakes, biscuits, chocolate etc for a while as a kind of sugar detox as once I have a taste, I can't put it down, but can abstain completely and after a few weeks it doesn't bother me (until I have some!).

Once I get the books, should be early next week, I can go through it all properly, but for now am just making some lists and meal ideas to get myself started and encouraged.

Thanks to everyone who has replied and helped so far x

Well I was comparing it to the size of the piece of the cake I would happily eat :)

The whole bag is 40 sins though...wow, that's nearly two bottles of wine!!

Yeah, and Im sat here drinking rum and diet coke rather than waste my syns on limited wine... should have omitted the nuts and had the whole bottle.:rotfl:

You are right that you only get one HEA and one HEB on EE. Basically, if it was free on a red day or free on a green day it's now free on EE. This means you do not need extra HEBs for your meat or pasta etc.

SW believe that the EE plan is the best one for fitting in to every day life, and therefore that is the one that is explained by the Consultant, though the other plans still feature in the book and you are told to read through them. If you are struggling or have hit a plateau you can incorporate a red or green day throughout your week. You can have a jazzy mixed up week if you wish, as long as you stick to one plan for the whole day.

I'm vegetarian though so I only ever do green! Xx

Geeves they recommend you do EE for the first few weeks but people at my group do all red, all green and then mix and match. Have you tried frylight* - 1 cal per spray and does the job, though I'll be getting the Bertoli one next time.

*other veg oil sprays are available :D
