Lantanna - Your consultant sounds like an a$$..if anything she/he should have been glad you asked because chances are the newbies might have been wondering. I just wouldnt have the patience and wouldnt be able to stop myself from making snarky comments...

Mildredd - I am sorry that you are still in pain. I am in awe of the fact you are stilling following the plan because in your shoes i am not sure i would be. IMO 2 weeks is still a long time to wait for an appointment - i hope this arrives sooner than the expected 2 weeks.

Nessie - Costa's are not the best coffee shop to go to when it comes to healthy snack availability. IMO starbucks are the best(albeit more expensive ) as they make salad boxes and fruit pots for people who dont want to buy a sandwich/cake. I also prefer the coffee as well - i dont think i have ever had one good coffee from costa. I dont know if its the blend of coffee they use or the barista's who just make rubbish coffee. As a rule i tend to avoid unless i am desperate and then i will have a fruit/mint tea or a flat white as the milk isnt frothed up - its just normal milk.

Sary - I love quorn products. They are filling, low in calories and fill you up - winner winner chicken dinner :rotfl::rotfl:

Lantanna, I've looked at syns online and there's a veritable Chinese menu on there but definitely no curry!! And I thought consultants were meant to be knowledgeable!:rotfl:

Sorry to hear you're feeling poorly denise. Hopefully the medication will kick in PDQ.

There's obviously something going on with Chinese restaurants at the moment as we were told last week about the dish that went up in syns (can't remember which one at the moment). When I questioned it my consultant said that it was probably a change in the sauce mixture that many restaurants bought in wholesale but advised me to 'put my trust in the people at SW head office'. That really irritates me. Happy clappy is one thing but blind faith is another!!

Can I join in please ?

I have put on so much weight in the last couple of years I will pop if I am not careful - retiring early was definately not good for my waist line.

I am joining a lunchtime class on Thursday so will start from there. I have a huge 7 stone to lose (hangs head in shame) :(

Welcome Karen. One plus of being retired is that you should have plenty of time to meal plan and cook from scratch. To me, that's the first secret of Slimming World. If you have a plan you're far less likely to eat the 'wrong' foods and if they aren't even in the house then that's easier still. The second is to eat plenty of fruit and more especially veg. Will you be cooking just for yourself? Two? Family? Also, having a WI on a Thursday is good because if you do go astray at the weekend you have Monday-Wednesday to play catch up. Any questions, just ask.:)

    EE menu for today:
B: NAS Ribena, HEA milk and HEB Shreddies
L: bubble & squeak with pickles and cold meat?
    D: SW Bolognese
    Syns: weekend wine:j

I've not been feeling hungry at lunchtime. Then when I am hungry later I'm conscious that it'll soon be supper time. I haven't done a proper shop for 2 weeks so today I must get in some fruit as a stand-by snack.

Thank you everyone for your good wishes. I'm definitely beginning to feel a bit better and my temperature has come down a fair bit. I'm sure once I've had another day of antibiotics I'll start feeling much more "normal"!

Just waiting for my hairdresser to arrive and once she's cut my hair I'll be having my lunch of leftovers! There's not a huge amount but with the way I'm feeling I'm sure it'll be plenty; and can always have some fruit after if necessary, which in turn will up the SFs, which is no bad thing.

You can do it! lol I've had that mentality from the beginning - wanting it off now! Fair play on the classes and the bootcamp! You'll def have your 2 stone come the end of March- prob more if you keep at it like that!
