Yes, Mildredd~What is the Dr saying / doing?

    Take care Nessie.

    Exactly what she said!:)

ETA: Good that an appointment is in sight mildredd, you can't go on like this. I think you're doing brilliantly under the circs.:A

Chris, your menu looks as if it could easily be Green so that would allow you an extra HEX A and B. I'm assuming no meat in the quiche but you could syn it/count as a B if there is that and still have another A like cheese or more milk.

Nessie, I wouldn't eat in places like Costa as it's all things like cookies AFAIK. What I normally do is have an Americano and ask for hot milk as that seems to make it more satisfying. Then if I was hungry after I'd left I'd go into Lidl or Aldi, buy some tikka pieces and scoff those.;) I'm happy to spend money on socialising but can get incredibly mean/mse rather than spend on junk.

Well last night's dinner went out of the window as I suddenly felt really ill mid afternoon and DH insisted I saw the Dr. Turns out I've got quite a bad chest infection and not just a bad sore throat - my voice nearly disappeared! Didn't get out of the Dr's until nearly 7pm and really didn't feel like cooking so had a chicken kebab and salad - no pitta:A. Wasn't sure of syns but turns out was only 5.5 for the meat so not too bad.

Some of my syns went on ice lollies yesterday to ease my sore throat so 4 syns there.

As I'd had the duck sushi at lunch time I had a total of 11 syns yesterday so happy with that.

Think I'm likely to put some weight on this week as will be steroids for the next 5 days and it usually does that to me! I won't be weight this week as I've got a funeral on Thursday so hopefully will be able to pull it back the following week.

Today will be EE again as we'll be having the sausages we didn't have yesterday.

B - porridge made with water and Mullerlight vanilla
L - LO sweetcorn & tuna quiche with LO salad (from kebab last night)
D - 2 butchers sausages (1); mash, green beans and HM onion gravy

HEA will be milk in tea throughout the day.
    HEB - porridge

Not sure what other syns will be but as my throat is still sore probably more lollies:rotfl:.

  • Can I join in please ?

I have put on so much weight in the last couple of years I will pop if I am not careful - retiring early was definately not good for my waist line.

I am joining a lunchtime class on Thursday so will start from there. I have a huge 7 stone to lose (hangs head in shame) :(

Congrats Denise on being bang on target iqJpw4yNS45wksrIvZXEvxEPDAwWwpIIBgWcCA8UHCvEPnQISwQGDksdIjXQGhESCgEBDvEXGSIrLqIpHBoqMKjiwC4FDRg1YhVxIWKDjxcwYNBwF6JGDyc5ZLwAEaJjRR0K29zY0WOHISNBAAA7

So wish I had an Aldi!!
TIE - I wasn’t able to find this curry sauce but the Mayflower ones are also good - you get them in Home Bargains.
Btw does anyone know how many syns are in a chicken curry from the Chinese? We were talking about it last night in group and I asked the question – but was shut down and told its in the book or the app. I said its not because that’s what I always get from the Chinese and I don’t know how to syn it! She gave me the Food Directory to look through as well in group and it wasn’t in there either – think she was a bit annoyed as lots of new members started last night. Strange thing was she said that was what she always got from the Chinese as well! There is a basic Chicken Curry on the app – but its one from the Chinese I want the syns for!!
Mildredd – how are you feeling today?

Nessie – Re Costa Coffee, I am going there on Saturday to meet a friend and looked at the menu yesterday and then the syns in the food directory last night YHVOFCvwGzdkZX12wrIQvfdusqd0eRAAA7. Even the plainest of sandwiches have major syns! So I’ll having an Americano coffee which is free or green tea and no food. We are going at 11am so not a problem. You would think that they would offer a fruit salad or something – its really poor if you are watching your weight! I’m not going to eat something just to pass myself that I will totally regret spending the syns on – like a bun or piece of cake when I could have a Chinese and a few drinks for that!!
Shala – Jaffa Cakes are so moreish aren’t they lol. I haven’t had one since before last April – I don’t think I’ll ever bring them back into the house again as I couldn’t control myself with them lol
Sary – I can’t eat quorn as I have a violent reaction to it and get chronic trapped wind! No joking its horrific, very painful and lasts for hours!!
Denise - Hope you feel better soon xx
Spendless Karen – You can do it, I want to lose a similar amount of weight to yourself and I’m not that far off getting there. Welcome, keep posting – we all muddle along here together J

Was so pleased with my loss last night:D and managing to majorily pull it back from the weekend. My mojo has returned and I’m feeling really great and positive about it all today. Really looking forward to my gym induction on Tuesday night and getting started. Treated myself to a WW Mini Garlic Bread last night at 8.5 syns – not bad at allJ. Think upping the superfree and changing up what I was eating really helped me this week so will continue with that this week and the challenge is on to make different meals again this week J .
Thanks as always for all your support and encouragement  Oh I bought a spirit measure so I can measure out my gin exactly and not make guestimates!! Very excited about this – how sad am I lol
    Menu for today
    B: Grapefruit & Muller Light
L: Free Spagetti Bolognese with 25g Penne, lettuce, red onion, jalepenos, gherkins & 2 laughing cow emmental (he)
D: Chicken Stirfry – Egg noodles, Sugar snap peas, baby sweetcorn, mushrooms, onion, courgette, pepper. May add some Mayflower to this and syn it
Syns: A few gins later on in front of the box – been a long week!!
Will save my HE for a bag of Ryvitta Minis later on – Mildredd I’m hooked on the S & V ones! :D
Maman - thanks for the tip I can copy the smilies
