Sorry for so many posts but was trying to reply to posts as I came across them!

Today is WI so menu plan not set in stone but should be along the lines of:

    B - banana - after WI
L - Mixed veg sushi (from Mr T when I go shopping after group) 1 syn; LO tuna & sweetcorn quiche with salad once shopping is put away when I get home!
D - SW sausages (from local butcher - 0.5 syn each) 1 syn, mash, green beans and onion gravy (1 syn for sauce flour)

HEA will be milk throughout the day in tea
HEB - not sure but maybe some crispbreads with butter 3.5 syns?

Will pop back later once I'm able to get back onto the laptop, probably late afternoon or early evening as have to pick DH up from work about 3pm.

Sorry to be so dense. Can I fry the leeks from frozen?

    Morning maman,

I always fry leeks from frozen, they thaw really quickly.

Just keep them on a low heat for a bit so they don't burn..

    Morning all

Nessie... don't beat yourself up or put yourself under any more pressure.. Not sure if this will make you feel better or not but here was/is our situation...
my hubby finished 27 years in the army in the December as Charlie was Born the following March now he was actually still employed by them until June so was home all the time -in fact he didn't bother looking for any kind of work until Bubba was 9 months old. Even though I was breast feeding he encouraged me to express a bottle during the day so that he could do the night shift OR if I was up to feeding Charlie then he would use it for the early morning feed so I could have a lie in :kisses: he really couldn't have done more and I still felt like a zombie a lot of the time (in fact I often still do :rotfl:) -

I have so much respect for anyone who has a little one and has a partner who works full time or who doesn't help out much (I know of several )as for those that have a toddler AND a baby  -

Its only now that Charlie is 22 months that Im trying to get some kind of normal back....whatever Normal is :p.
Charlie will be 2 at the end of March so the breast feeding will slowly be reduced about then and then I hope to get out and about more -I feel a bit stuck at the moment as our badooby feeds aren't nice discreet affairs -they are more of an "everything hanging out event" so feeding out n about isn't possible.

Perhaps once your little one starts weaning you will be able to sit to the table together so you can eat whilst feeding her too - we have a great high chair -one that is suitable from birth as it tips back -so even if baby isn't ready to eat they get used to being at the table -Charlie has been going "out for meals" since he was about 3 months old and he now sits to a table really well and wields his cutlery like a pro most of the time. He has just had a lovely booster seat so the high chair has to go -even though it's suitable until 3years I think -but his lordship thinks he is to big a boy for it now :rotfl:

As for the sleep or lack of.... it really is torture isn't it :( ...Charlie slept really well from about 4 months until about 11 months then it all went t*ts up :o there were no major events or anything but he just seemed to have a totally screwed up body clock -often he would end up sleeping downstairs as thats where he would settle -so him n daddy would sleep down here and mummy would shuffle off to bed :T. its only in the last couple of months or so that he seems to be settling down again *fingers crossed* -in fact this last couple of days he has insisted on going to bed at about 3:30pm -getting up about 8pm and then going back to bed about 10pm and sleeping until about 7am (I don't expect it to last but Im making the most of it)..
oooh and on the sleep front PLEASE try and nap when baby does -I know that is what everyone says and I used to resist -but really as wrong as it feels ...it really does make a difference!
I was always of the "a baby should be in bed by xyz" THEN I GOT MY OWN :rotfl: and suddenly I didn't care who slept where or when as long as there was some sleep :p. If the only way to sleep was hanging upside down by my feet -I would have tried it :D

sorry Im yapping again *shock horror* :rotfl:

If you enjoy going to class -then keep going, It's got nothing to do with anyone else. Just think too if you keep going to class and posting on here it might help you at least be aware of what you are/aren't eating -even if you are off plan as such, it won't be mindless munching ;) -I wish I had kept on with SW even if I had just maintained my original loss then I wouldn't be back losing some of the same wobble again :rotfl:

Cut yourself some slack and don't put any more pressure on yourself.

    Sorry for the essay everyone:rotfl:

I use lazy garlic sometimes and don’t syn it as I only ever use a tiny amount. I remember looking at the calories on it one day and thinking that it wasn’t too bad. So I wouldn’t worry too much as it hasn’t hindered you so far!

Well done – Fab first week for you, keep it up!!

Thanks, loving your new found positivity – just keep posting and trying and we will ALL get there together.

Great loss with a Dominoes thrown in!
    Topgirl
Curried Eggs – never even thought of this – but might give it a try! I love cold egg mayo with curry powder
    Nessie216
Why don’t you try doing yourself up a meal plan (when you get a spare 5 mins). It might help if you have a plan to work too and get the right shopping in - plenty of go to free snacks that are available when things get a little crazy!
    Shala
    Ignore that feast! Lol

Well think I’m going to book myself a gym induction for sometime next week! Will let you know how I get on. Will pick up some cheap trackies and trainers to do me for a bit. May as well start whilst I have the notion!
WI for me today – don’t think I’ve anything off as had 3 days off!!! Hopefully a sts and not a gain – suffering from a bit of PMT bloat now as well. But anyway I’m totally back in the zone now and may have had a wobbly month or so – but I’m determined I’ll get to where I want to be!
    Menu for today

B: Mango, Melon & Pineapple & WW Yogurt
L: Lettuce, Chicken, Pepper, feta, sweetcorn (light I know but wi later)
D: Nimble Pizza Toasts (HE a & b) with lots of salad
There will probably be some sort of chocolate treat after wi - maybe a curly wurly

    Morning.

Had difficult evening last night with DD but managed to stay calm (thank you Paul McKenna) and not go on a binge. What I did have I syned and thanks to counting 105 weekly syns, it didn't matter that I was a bit over my daily "allowance". I had a Freddo for the first time in ages, it was lovely and really enjoyed it

    New day:

I really fancy the Alpen porridge for breakfast: I am guessing by the nv on the pack they are 7.5 syns per sachet, couldn't find them in the directory cause they are quite new I think.

I am going to have left over curry for lunch with rice

No idea what to have to tea, prob something with chicken and maybe wedges and veg

HEa will be milk or cheese HEb probably crackers with cottage cheese and ham tomatoes etc.

    Morning all

First off before i start waffling & forget :-

Mrs R - Congrats on your award :T
Beanie/Midredd - Hope you are not in too much pain.
Maman - Isnt lazy garlic free? Its in a brine type of liquid with no oil so i also have not ever assigned syns.
Top Girl - Those curried eggs sound rank :o..i am a fussy egg eater (ie i will only eat omelette or scrambled :o)
Nessie - Dont give yourself such a hard time. My advice to you would be do what you can. Just look after yourself..
Congratulations to all the losers, and hugs for everyone else.

Sorry i havent been around as much recently - havent really been following SW this week. Hormones are flying everywhere.:o:(. As things go i havent eaten too much junk but i must admit several bars of chocolate have passed my lips along with a cheese covered pretzel from M & S. I havent even counted syns :o
Really hope that *week arrives in the next couple of days - I am walking into everything, have butter fingers and am generally feeling unstable (mood swings ) .

Last night it was blowing a hooley in sheffield and rained heavily - i got DRENCHED which i was non too happy about. My jeans stained my skin as the felt like they had just come out of the washing machine. I also watched the final episode of Homeland (series 3) last night - its been sat on my sky box for ages. Really enjoyed it although i am gutted that Brody died . I thought it was a good ending to the series - looking forward to series 4 now.

I'm sending you some will power shala to help you resist the 'naughties'. I'm sure you'll cope as it's such a lovely, smug feeling being in control. But if you choose to have a treat then you've plenty of syns in the bank to cover it.

No problem. You and mildredd are definitely in the best position for helping and empathising with nessie.

Thanks lantanna. I think it's vinegar that preserves it so should be syn free. Now I've got my computer sorted I'll check on-line. Good luck with the gym induction. I think exercise has far more benefits than just weightloss. Just wish I could take my own advice.:o

Didn't go to WI this morning as I know I have to rein back any increase from last weekend and the wedding coming up this one.

Please, put me down for STS 2b.

    Today's menu will be:
B: NAS Ribena, baked beans, HEB toast, HEA milk for teas
L: will be out so if hungry I'll buy something like a Pret salad
D: gammon steak, mushrooms, cauli cheese and something with potatoes

    Syns: cheese sauce

Gammon steaks look huge so will probably share one with DH. I'm off to city centre shortly to buy new shoes and maybe more if anything takes my fancy. Don't think I've browsed shops since around new year. It's so much more fun than it was when I had to delve into the back of rails for the big sizes. It is worth it!!!:D
  • Rainbow...I'm about to start the 3rd series of Homeland so I saw you had spoilers for it so screamed and scrolled through your post!! I hope I didn't see to much!!
