Afternoon lovelies
Target setting - I've entered a weight into the website as I wanted a line to aim for but I don't actually know what ill look like at that weight? I haven't been this since since forever so I'm taking it as it comes?
I'm currently wearing a size 14 jeans (from a 22) and as I've lost weight it seems I have the family curse of no bum and scrawny legs as they fit on the waist but are baggy on the bum and legs?
I have new painkillers and need to ring my gp in a bit and chase up a scan date as I can't keep going a&e :@
Gfb - that's the child sense sneaking in there / my dd is the same can be a nightmare all day for me - anyone visits and its charm offensive - I go out she's an angel I come home she does stuff - oooh new hair bet you feel fab
Pollysg - I'm sticking with it this week I can't fall off the wagon
Shala - I think its more a case of not stuffing myself to the brim- that's the only link between the last two episodes - I keep a food diary and there's no other link apart from me being a pig
Well done mrs Ryan! Well done all losers today
Mrs mac - you can do this
Lantanna - the gym is on my to join list once dd starts nursery so sept 15 lol I don't have any gym clothes either - I used to be a member and go around uni lectures however my logic was look at calories burnt n then justify donuts and kettle chips as I'd earnt them
I find myself wondering at group when people say they have batchelors snacks am I eating too much at meal times? But then I think once I'm back at work I won't have the chance to snack it'll just be meal times and set break times so I personally would rather stick to 3 big meals and the snack in front of tv which I'm sure my nan would have called supperand have 1/3 super free in the day? And if I think I'm hungry outside if meals I have squash and then a small piece of fruit
Witwoo Maman on the slinky photos and the mistaken identity last week too
Yeah last night wasnt good but I'm refusing to let myself fall off the wagon today I'm not particularly hungry so will try some fruit in a bit x

Morning
-1lb for me this week please 2b
Not a whole lot but considering I have been distracted with Paul McKenna etc and had a difficult week stress wise, I am happy.
Just realised only 1 week to go for our challenge, that went by fast! I am going to have to be on plan 100% this week to make it. I am going to try but not put too much pressure on myself because I will fail and binge.
Well done MO2 :T:T
Can't believe you lot are getting to the end of the challenge already!
2b - i'm happy to take over for the next challenge if you've got other stresses to deal with - just let me know.gingerfurball wrote: »Good morning everyone...I tried to post yesterday but was too busy (yesterday morning I was at the hairdressers all morning *swishes new doo*
So today I'm going to explore what different HEX's I can use...what's your favorites?? I'm trying to get away from just cheese sandwiches and cereal and milk....:)
Beautiful new hair GFB
I'm finding on EE i don't often have a HEB so i've took to having nuts. I love nuts so i have to be careful i don't eat the whole bag (as i did on Sunday) but it might make an interesting change.
Mildredd - i don't think you're eating too much, if you were then you wouldn't be losing the weight you are. I'd stick with your formula if i were you!!
So i'm another EE day today (with a sneaky bit of pizza)
B - fruit, yogurt, muesli (0.5 heb)
L - chicken salad (2) pizza slice (10)
T - cous cous fritters, fish, salad, pickles
S - milk jelly, milk in tea (hea)
73.5 syns left till Sunday, i'm not doing well at banking my syns, i keep using them by accident :rotfl:d'oh!Mortgage amount at 31/12/2011 £166,050 now £0 as at Sept 21 - 15yrs 4 months early.0 -
MRSMCAWBER - what do you put in/on your cabbage to make it 0.5 syn? I'm just being nosy, LOL!
Have just had a count up of my week's syns and I've got 5.5 left for today to take me to 105 although still not sure if I want any. I thought I might have a pink 'n' white later but certainly not feeling like anything at the moment.
I rarely eat snack between meals and if I do I'll just have a piece of fruit or a Mullerlight. I try to cook all my meals myself as well and not use ready meals so have to admit most of my syns go on red wine!

Many thanks mumoftwo & mildredd for finding out about the mackerel fillets – I have been having the Princes ones in spicy tomato sauce and had always thought they were free  – still I have got to target (and stayed there) so it can’t have done too much damage
Welcome to all the newbies.
Congrats MrsR on the ‘couple of the year’ award :T
Can’t keep up with the thread sometimes at the moment – it is moving so fast. So well done to all the losers and hugs to anyone that needs them0 -

Same here;) and I'm glad it's not just me that's nosey!
I really must buy in a few more frozen veg. All I have at the moment are peas and broad beans (so not SF) or leeks and courgettes which I just add to things so don't think I'd like on their own. I find a bag of green beans a good stand-by but haven't restocked since making space for Christmas.0 -
If you want the rainbow youve got to put up with the rain. Dolly parton. Food for thoiught xx

Thank you for those replies to my post, I think I got it wrong the 1st week.
But in my defence I put loads of veg, mushrooms, onions, peppers in my dishes, so I was getting a lot of veg, in the cola curry I put loads of veg, and only 2 quorn chicken pieces.
I may not have eaten the best but I've not snacked on crisp toffee or wine, whilst I've been doing this.
I'll read up more later as I'm out the door in 30 mins for my 1st weigh in, feeling a bit disappointed to be honest.0 -
Hello you bunch of losers
Well done on the fab losses this week, there seem to have been plenty of them (shame I wasn't one of them, but I'm not bitter..... much)!

My husband says that my meals are too stodgy too much pasta, rice and spuds.
And I should have more lean meat and salads.
any advice would be gratefully received.
It's my 1st weigh in tomorrow I was hoping for a 3 or 4lb loss in my 1st week.
thanks for taking the time to read, and i'll check in each night with you.
My initial thoughts were the same as others here. I would incorporate more fruit & veg with your day's meals where possible. What cereal are you having, and could you have a piece of fruit with that?
Your lunches look rather low on food content full-stop, and a Mugshot may be okay for an occasional stop-gap, but as a meal, I'd say it wasn't up to the job. If you have access to a microwave at work could you take in some HM soup. You can obviously get hot water, so what about taking in a salad, and making up some couscous to have with it?
If you like pasta, rice and potatoes for main meals, I would suggest ensuring you have a big salad with them, or try to incorporate as many other vegetables into your sauces, along with some lean meat if you're doing extra easy. It's not easy getting into the habit of eating more veg and fruit if you're not used to it, but it does get easier, and becomes second nature.
I look at what others post for their meal plans on here for meal ideas, which you may find useful too. Welcome to the thread, they're a lovely helpful bunch.
Well I had a busy day yesterday, and a late night meeting, which meant I didn't get to post on here.
Yesterday's meal plan was: EE
B - Activia Creamy yogurt 2.5 syns, banana, apple
L - Mixed veg & beef casserole (which I pinched out of the slow cooker), satsuma
D - Mixed veg & beef casserole with boiled potatoes
Supper - hot chocolate 2 syns
HEA - milk in teas
Didn't get to have my HEb
Total syns = 4.5
Today's plan is very similar : EE
B - Activia creamy yogurt 2.5 syns, banana, apple
snack - kiwi fruit
L - Veg & beef casserole (without potatoes)
D Veg & beef casserole with potatoes, satsuma
Supper - Special K chewy bar & hot chocolate 2 syns
HEA - milk
HEB - Special K bar
Total syns - 4.5
My cassserole is really lovely and thick and so easy to make, and is jam packed with veg. I put all the following into a slow cooker in the morning on low, and by 6pm there's a really yummy casserole in a thick gravy: 500g lean beef, onions, swede, carrots, celery, tin of mushy peas, 4 tbsp pearl barley, 1 beef stock pot and 1 veg stock cube, 1 tbsp tomato/veg puree, water, season all seasoning.
I'm another one that tries to make my meals satisfying enough that I don't go looking for snacks. Sometimes I do eek out my meals over a period of time, so I can take an hour to eat my breakfast, which means I don't feel so hungry by lunchtime. I don't buy in much to snack on, so I'm better to have a more substantial meal instead. One day the clocks will stop, and time won't mean a thing
Be nice to your children, they'll choose your care home0
