    Hows the form today Becks?
Mildredd, what you said about eating loads at meal times and not wanting to snack has made me think that maybe my portions are too small and I am going to try and bulk out my meals further with superfree.
Debating joining the gym! Eeek – haven’t been in years but would like to start working on toning up. Would mean new trackies and trainers though – its always money, money, money isn’t it!
I don’t eat or use any tweaks – the thought of using lasagne sheets to make crisps and spring rolls makes me feel ill lol – that’s just me. Smash is so not my cup of tea either! I’d rather eat the real deal if the notion takes and syn it.
Mildredd, think a foot long Sub would kill me know lol!! Re Success Express – only been doing it from Sunday and struggled a bit yesterday. This week has been a busy week so next week should have be better when I’ll be more organised. Going to keep at it and hopefully see a good loss next thurs. If I have a maintain this week I’d be really pleased with that. Also have the dreaded PMT which never helps me for WI!
Skint Catt – A shiny new car sounds like a good distraction and well deserved too – thinking of you xx
Mrs R - well done on the couple of the year. I’ve been nominated as well with my friend. I also think might find that dress a little loose!! Bet you feel great in your new clothes! Xx
Shala they are meanies indeed!!!!!!!! Whenever I get an urge for Pizza I make up whatever I fancy on Nimble Bread – seems to feed my cravings ! Well done on your loss.
Saint Chris - I agree with Maman looks a wee bit too stodgy, up the super frees ! xx

    Good morning all

Well done on the losses :T and hugs to those in need right now .... hang in there..

Mildredd -hope they have got your pain under control... take it nice n easy for a while.....

    congratulations MrsR + MrR :T

SkintCatt-hope they get you an appointment as quickly as possible...and enjoy the car :T

Well Im reporting in with a 2.5lb loss this morning :j-so I have hit my Valentines target smack on ... 21lbs gone..only *mumble mumble* left to shift :rotfl: Before I had CharlieB I managed to get down from a 32/34 to a 14/16 (mainly 16) so I KNOW I can get there again -only this time I will NOT get sidetracked or distracted and I WILL not stop until I get to a weight within my healthy weight range .... so you lovely lot are going to have to put up with an awful lot of waffling :p
hmmm well I have just had a look and at only 5ft5" the top of my healthy weight range is 10st 10lbs - Im now 18st8lbs sooooo I need to shift 7st12lbs to get there (then I will settle on an end target from there ;)). I know its still a lot to shift but do you know Im not in the least bit daunted by it (having been over 26st at my heaviest:naughty: probably explains why Im not bothered)..

I have my seriously determined head on right now .... so I just need you lot to make sure I stay there

Yesterdays meal plan went a bit wonkey donkey as hubby dropped me off at mums as Charlie had fallen asleep in the car -daddy bought him home and said he would pick me up when he had woken up..... 7:45pm the little monkey woke up ..... from 3:45pm -so I didn't have dinner at home (I boiled 2 eggs at mums though to keep me going). We were expecting carnage last night with Charlie sleeping that long -but he wanted to go back to bed at 10pm and slept through until 8am this morning :j

Im not entirely sure what plan Im on today..think I will go green....

    750ml semi (hexAx3)

    apple
    1 boiled egg

200g baked weight rustic chips (2)
    mushy peas
    1tbs mint sauce
    (0.5)

WW beef and red wine casserole (6.5)
    salad

    bag ryvita minis (hexB)
    70g light philli (hexB)

anything else will be fruit if I need it...

so for once I have managed to use my hexA+Bs :A... and 9syns... Im going to using my syns weekly for now -so that leaves me 96/105 for the rest of the week...

Im not one for making lasagne crisps etc or eating mugshots etc -but I can appretiate why some people find them useful -before I had Charlie I would spend hours in the kitchen creating lovely meals... Im affraid that now Charlie comes first -so if it's a choice between spending ages in the kitchen or playing with the little monkey -he wins... hence the use of WW meals for me as it's just one thing less to think about ;)

right I had better stop rambling again -so sorry folks :o..
have a lovely day everyone and keep at it...

    Chris,

I thought I would add my opinions on your nutrition plan. I have actually logged in today to ask a question about car servicing, but thought I would have a look at the kind of nutritional advice offered on here.

Buddy, you are not eating enough fat. Fat is an essential macronutrient which the body utlilises for a wide range of functions.

Please please please do not go down the fat free route, it is not sustainable and it is not healthy!

There are so many women at my place of work that go on various types of fat free diets. They lose weight for a while, generally for no longer than a few months, but eventually it finds its way back on. The reason is that their nutrition plan is not sustainable, your body NEEDS fat.

My advice, drop all the low fat cereal bars and junk like that. Replace with either a handfull of nuts or the odd few eggs.

You will feel better, you will feel full and more importantly you will reduce your body fat percentage in a way that you can sustain and most importantly is healthy. A FAT FREE DIET IS NOT HEALTHY.

And if you are wondering why various slimming companies dont tell you this, well, if they did they wouldnt have any rubbish low fat sugary products to sell. If you are ever in doubt when you pick something up off the shelf. Ask yourself if your grandparents would have recognised it when they were growing up. If the answer is no, put it back on the shelf.

Also, I have just researched the nutritional profile of "mug shots", I am curious, why are you eating these?

With regards to the nutrition plan you have posted, on the whole it is too low in fat and protein and too high in carbs. Im not going to comment on most of it, but what I will say is breakfast; imo you would be much better off with something like, natural porridge oats with milk & one egg.

All the best mate, just thought you deserved to be put straight.

Oh, just to add, I am a level 2 qualified REPS fitness instructor currently working through my level 3 personal trainer course (which includes nutrition and weight management). My weight; 13stone 2 pounds at approx 8% body fat.[/QUOTE
Interestingly, I read just this morning that part of rosemary Conleys business has just gone bust and they're putting that down to more and more people moving away from low fat diets.

I have to say, I have never had a mug shot in my life but lots of,people at the SW group I attended did eat them. I was also really amazed at the rubbish type of food some people ate and the amount of processed food too. One woman told me that if it's not in a tin or packet she doesn't want to know. She was mega obese.

    Mrs McCawber,

I've went from 16.13 to 12.2 so yes you can do it. Love the positivity of your posting! :)

I'm 5.4 so I think meant to be 10.7 stone - seems a long long way off, though in reality its not I guess.

I was going for 9.13 to get the fully 7 stone loss but think I will aim for 10.7 stone and see how I feel when I get there!
  • Good morning everyone...I tried to post yesterday but was too busy (yesterday morning I was at the hairdressers all morning *swishes new doo* and yesterday afternoon I had the grandkids...things went beautifully with them...we played our new card games, I fed them tea, we played hide and seek and then just before their mum came to get them Esme (4.5) gave Harrison (1.5) who was sitting on a skateboard and almighty push!! So as mum walked in the door he was screaming his head off because he banged his head and then proceeded to projectile vomit over me! and the living room carpet! Esme then got hysterical in case she got in trouble - so you can imagine the scene!! And I didn't turn to the drink afterwards which was amazing!

I've been taking the advice of you lovely people and trying to vary not only my diet but also the HEX a and b's...last night's tea was cheesey beans on toast...so, so good!

So today I'm going to explore what different HEX's I can use...what's your favorites?? I'm trying to get away from just cheese sandwiches and cereal and milk....:)

I think that's a good way to go about target setting. We can get far too hung up on numbers. NSV for me yesterday. My friend was insistent on taking photos when a group of us were together. I hate having my photo taken and she took loads because she said I kept turning away/hiding my face. I scrolled through them afterwards and was delighted to see a trim looking lady!!

I've not done a weekly shop, as I've been away, so trying to struggle through to the weekend without buying much.

    Today's EE plan:
B: NAS Ribena, HEB porage, HEA milk
    L: soup or fruit
D: liver, onions, new potatoes, swede mash, carrots
    Syns: gravy

I may manage to buy something green to go with my supper but it's pouring here so may not fancy going near shops.

Maman - I always keep some green veg in the freezer - partly for convenience but also because I'm a long way from the shops. My closest for getting fruit and veg is the farm shop and that's about 7 or 8 miles away! We have a couple of independent convenience shops about a mile away but tend not to use those if I can help it as everything is so much more expensive, although the one that has opened recently is actually selling some fresh fruit and veg which I've bought a couple of times and the prices were on a par with the farm shop so pleased with that.

I posted my menu plan earlier but hadn't decided what I was going to have for lunch but have had a rummage in the freezer and found a single portion of very spicy carrot soup. I'll probably need to swirl a bit of DH's greek yoghurt through it to cool it down, LOL! Need to check the syns as although it's fat free I'm fairly sure it has some syns in it, hopefully only 1 or 2 for a spoonful.

Just popping back in because Im a twit.... I forgot I had cooked a ham yesterday and made a beef casserole that didn't get eaten yesterday because I was out at mums... sooooo today is now going to be another red one :D

    500ml semi (hexAx2)

    1 apple
    1 boiled egg

    home cooked ham
    salad

beef casserole - (beef, carrots, onions) (1)
    cabbage (0.5)
    broccoli
    230g jacket (hexB)

    ryvitta minis (hexB)
    70g philli light (hexA)

So that uses my 3HexA and 2HexB and 1.5syns -anything else will be fruit ;).... leaving 103.5 syns for the rest of the week :D

Thanks Lantana... Im determined to keep positive -I did this to myself and I have proved to myself that I can get the weight off -this time I just need to finish the job and then KEEP it off.
Well done on your loss so far -I bet you feel great :T

Maman :T on the slinky photos
-I think you are right about setting targets that don't always rely simply on a number on the scales... I think for me -even though I got down to a 14/16 and felt and looked so much better it's a psychological thing where if Im not within the range of a healthy weight for my height then I will still see myself as overweight and the fear for me would then be that I will let it slide again... "does that make sense?" :rotfl:

    right off I go again...

Thanks - yes I'm delighted but you can imagine how with me there a year in 2 months and getting close to target (well a heck of a lot closer than I was at the start lol) I just want it off now and done and dusted so I can work on maintaining! I'm sick of buying clothes and only getting to wear them for a short while before I need to change size again. But I am very happy with how I've done just wish the rest of it would hurry up etc lol.

Had to buy a BM Dress in a Size 20 the other week - hate the way the sizing is messed up as it just makes me feel rubbish!

I get far too fixated on numbers etc and this is something I'm working on as it seriously affects my mood!!
