    Morning all!

    1.5lb loss for me 2b

I really thought this was going to be the week I ground to a halt as I've had a few challenges - eating out and so on - so I'm very pleased with a loss. I began to get a bit neurotic about a good loss last week, and thought it might have been a fluke.

    Hmbee – A loss is a loss J
Pennylane – I’m in agreement with Beanie Lou re the free foods. I think you so have to keep in mind portion sizes etc. If I ate as much as I wanted of free foods there is no way I would lose weight. Your average baked potato is around 200 calories – I normally have one of these but could probably eat 2 - at a push 3 if made into SW Chips and there is no way I could lose doing that every night!!
Beanie Lou – I’ve really cut back on my fruit this week so hopefully that will make a difference as it usually hinders me when I eat too much! There is a fine line in my case – of which I find it hard to stay under lol. All or nothing with me!! Oh Pennylane – Potatoes and pasta and sauce seem to hinder me a bit as well!
Please let me be lucky – Your menu sounds lovely J - My sort of food!
Becks81 – Don’t feel like a fraud at all – you should see what went in my mouth at the weekend! Good or bad keep posting, we can but only try and we will all get there if we don’t give up. Your allowed to enjoy yourself a bit too – those moments where we go a wee bit mad and just say sod it and eat what we fancy keeps us on plan the rest of the time xx When I need remotivating - which is often lol, I think about why I am doing this and go and look at / try on clothes like I would like to wear. I also read my SW Magazines and meal plan – both of these help.
Sary – lol that God of Poo can’t half be predictable at times lol
Mildredd – Forget it the guilt its gone – and so is four stone - yay! I measure out my mayo as well but not red sauce – where I make a guesstimate – which is naughty but then I don’t have it too often to worry too much!!

Success Express went well for me yesterday, not as well for me today as wasn’t home until 10.30pm last night so didn’t get time to make anything for today. Hoping to get enough SF in at dinner. So today’s menu is
    B: Alpen light Bar x 1 HE & SS
L: Mugshot & 2 Baby Bel Light (HE)
    2 X WW Yogurts
D: Chicken Breast, pepper, onion, mushroom, courgette, broccoli, baby corn, sugar snap peas, spinach – 30g brown rice & soy sauce
Lots of green tea and NAS – I’ll be surprised if I can pull it back this week after the weekend but will give it a damn good try!!
Mrs Lady - well done as well xx

    Good morning all

Well done on the losses ladies :T and hugs to those in need right now -hang on in there hopefully things will get better soon.

Mildredd -I measure too ;) -even hubby knows that I have measuring spoons "and NO a normal "tea spoon" won't do" :rotfl: -I had to show him the variations in size in the t-spoons in our kitchen ..... so he now knows that when I say t-spoon I mean the proper one :rotfl:

Come on Becks - keep on posting, even if you are having a few off days at least if you post on here you can see it in black and white so there is no "forgetful" munching ;). Hope you are feeling brighter and more optimistic soon....

It's another red day for me today that should look like this:-

    500ml semi (hexAx2)

    1 apple
    2 boiled eggs

    home cooked ham
    cucumber
    tomato
    celery
    lettuce
    onion
    peppers

    clementine

    braising steak
    onions
    carrots

    broccoli
    cabbage

so that covers 2 of my hexA -leaving 1 hexA and both hexB to sort out.....

when hubby gets home we need to nip to the bank as he took the wrong bank card the other day and got mine locked by using his own number twice before realising and then he put my number in wrong :rotfl: so I have to go and reactivate my card....
Im going to finish counting up the change in Charlies money boxes -so far the silver comes to £56 :T so I will bag everything up and pay it into my account and then transfer it to his post office account -it's amazing how quick it builds up -I opened a post office account when he was born and transfer £50 a month from his child benefit and then obviously any birthday money etc goes in -the idea is that it will always be there if our finances change and affording school trips, expensive hobbies becomes difficult -if not then it will stay there for university, driving lessons or whatever when he is old enough... gawd helps us once he is big enough to ask for our change -he is already obsessed with putting money in his money boxes - you get your purse/wallet out in front of him at your own peril :rotfl:
heck Im rambling again :o -better get off and get something done..
have a lovely day everyone and keep at it we WILL get there ;)

oooh and to whoever mentioned those mcCain rustic chips "thankyou" I did some for hubby last night and pinched one to try and I think they are nommy -more like roast tatties so I am ordering some more of those...

    Hello all,

well done to the other losers tonight.

I have to be honest but Im really struggling at the moment, was really good on Saturday and didn't even crave anything naughty which was a first for me.

Then it all went down hill on Sunday, I had to take my mum to Costco to pick up sandwiches for my nans 92nd Birthday party. So had a slice of pizza for breakfast (it was only £1.95 for a huge slice in my defence) then because I had the pizza I thought sod it and ate what I wanted to at the buffet.

I came home and felt really unsettled, and a tad emotional as my nan looked so happy at her party bless her, so I had a plate of chips and a bowl of ice-cream.

Have picked again tonight, feel a bit of a fraud posting on here, especially as there are so many of you doing so well.

I want to get back into the game but have zero motivation. Im also on holiday in 10 days. I don't really know what to do with myself :(
I think you have to be in the right frame of mind to apply yourself, and maybe you're just not ATM. Maybe when you come back from hols see how you feel then and start afresh?

Pennylane~ Not a consultant but I have to say I am coming round more & more to the line of thought that we need to eat free food in moderation. If we eat absolutely unlimited free foods we need to be mindful of what we eating & the quantities particularily with some fruit.
Just my thoughts. It is an interesting debate I think and would welcome other peoples thoughts.

Beanie - my thoughts on the matter that the majority of what SW call "free food" isnt free at all. I think its silly to of SW to say that pasta/rice/spuds/yogs/fruit etc are unlimited & you should eat as much as you fancy.

They all contain calories and if you are eating 4 mullers a day that is adding up to nearly 400 calories ; along with 75/100 grammes of pasta and/or rice with meat/vegetables (lunch/dinner) . Then adding on top fruit/healthy extras & syns then you will be close (if not over ) the 2000 calorie daily limit allowance. Weight gain is inevitable especially if eating this much several days over a week.

IMO - yes you do need to keep an eye on how much they are consuming every day - although not as much as WW.

We should aim to fill up on as much superfree as we can, then use the other free foods, and then our syns for extra treats and higher fat/sugar/processed food. Hope that makes some sense.

makes perfect sense :), and in an ideal world this would work but unless you are that way inclined (to choosing to eat superfree before free/synned food) then this often doesnt happen.

I know myself i would choose free/synned before i start reaching for the superfrees because in reality its no fun snacking on mushrooms or a pepper or some other superfree food especially when its cold/miserable etc outside .

I do like the SW principles of choosing fruit or vegetables and how they advocate cooking from scratch but i just dont think its realistic for a large chunk of SW people to change their diet so drastically (choosing fruit/veggies for example as a first choice) when the majority of SW members are not inclined to choose fruit as a first choice for snack. If they did want fruit then they wouldn't be on SW in the first place.

For me the key is trying not to go OTT on the plan , and trying to keep my "diet on SW " as i would normally eat but a modified version, as i know that i just wont stick to eating loads of fruit/mullers or superfree's for the rest of my life. I get bored when i eat to much of certain foods - doesnt matter what i am eating. I love muller lights but i am getting sick of them now and will probably have a yoghurt break - its also not just specfically yogs but all foods ( except the good stuff - its a shame i dont get fed up of cookies and chocolate :rotfl:)

I am happy with the fact that i do eat fruit now and a lot of other foods i previously thought i disliked but i eat these foods through choice.

Hope this makes sense? I dont know if this is a bit waffley ...

    Morning,

I suppose the less you have to lose, the smaller your portions are suppose to become. With having to lose 12 stone, I think I can eat quite a lot of "free food". I think the idea is to eat healthy unprocessed food as much as possible until you are comfortable "full" which I have trouble with, hence trying Paul McKenna's methods of eating slowly and consciously.

Been shopping for some more fruit and veg so today looks like this:

    fried egg and mushrooms, spinach

mackerel in Indian sauce (finally found it), thanks to whoever it was who mentioned it on here :T

    salad, cottage cheese

curry mince with lots of vegetables thrown in and butter beans and boiled potatoes

    HEa: chilli philly
HEb: crackers as evening snack with ham, philly cucumber, tomatoes, bit of mayo (2syns)

Options hot chocolate (2syns) and no doubt something else for syns ;)

    Have a good day :A

becks i am sorry to hear you are still struggling. It sounds to me as though your heart isnt really in it - have you talked to your consultant? maybe they can give you some suggestions which can help you get back on track? Are you off plan every day? or are you managing a day here & there?
